What Brought You Here?

I can not fathom the vastness of space.
Time and reality distorted and displaced.

What I know, I've read in books.
Seen the movements of pawns and rooks.

A glint in a philosophers eye.
A speck of dust thrown up high.

It will fall with certain force.
No one can measure it's eventual course.

We live within that speck of dust.
History changes with errant lust.

The road to this moment, has it been fate.
Or are we the victim of some others mistake.

I believe there is and artistry at work.
It leaves me with bewilderment and a smirk.

Look within or to others with a leer,
But in the end, what has brought you here?

I love this!! The imagery you've used to convey just how small we are in comparison to our existance around us, and how vague it all is, forever changing. Leaving us with just enough child like awe to smile at it all in wonder.

Have you ever read/seen the stores where some event happens between 3 or more people, and they are to write about what led up to and during the said event?

Getting all those different perspectives is something very neat.
