The Republicans wanted a bill for First Responders.

The Democrats wanted a bill to line the pockets of unions and lawyers, which could be laundered back into the DNC warchest.

So a quick update on media coverage of this;

For my great friends on ATS, I have decided to suffer through watching some MSNBC coverage of the convention. I will post my thoughts as they come up.

To start with, remember, the leaked emails showed that Chuck Todd and others on MSNBC have been proven to be in cahoots with the pro Hillary people.

So to start with, all of the coverage so far has been about how dark the RNC was, and how positive the DNC is. They criticze the RNC for being vitriolic to Hillary.

And then....

The can't stop praising how effective all of the attacks against Trump are. IN fact, they are currently praising how great the first responder was for basically calling Trump a war profiteer. The panel said "This is about as brutal as attacks in American politics get!" and they can't get enough of it.

Disgusting hypocrisy.

I fully admit I have not looked into the issue at all. I had thought that I had heard something like responders were told there was no chemical exposure, and then later got serious illnesses. If this is untrue or people are just cashing in, its despicable. However, I can not comment on it until I read up on it more.

The original First Responders, this is absolutely true. They deserve everything they could get.

The rest was just a cash grab from the Dems. The GOP congress wanted a responsible bill, but thanks to the media and parliamentary procedure it was turned into propaganda against the Republicans.

If that's the case, why did 9/11 first responders protest Mitch McConnell?

Is there anything about this convention that is not in direct hypocrisy to what they said about Republicans or in direct hypocrisy to their own actions.

The states have limited the 2nd more than any potential politician...and the SCOTUS has upheld those restrictions.

Perhaps your concerns are misplaced.
