Isnt Juno supposed to be going into orbital insertion today? Its either still very far away or we have been trolled by Nasa

Juno's orbit around Jupiter will be very elongated, so it's probably at the furthest point of the orbit at the moment.



And JunoCam is very wide-angle, so Jupiter will look small from all but the closest parts of the orbit.

Good point. One tends to think of orbit as ISS ish levels..but of course geostationary sats are very very far away

I'm sure most of you have heard that Juno is alive and well and now in orbit around Jupiter.

Well done to nasa. Perfectly done
