Active shooter in Wal-Mart, Amarillo?

Police have reported an active shooter situation at an area Wal-Mart retail location in Amarillo, Texas.

Law enforcement is asking that all residents stay away from the retailer. Amarillo Police are reportedly evacuating people out of the building.

Preliminary reports have said the shooter may have taken hostages, but the Amarillo Police Department could not confirm those details at this time.

AP tweeted this out as well. Best thing to do is get the info out and wait to see what the truth is. There will be false alarms. But I think ( esp during Ramadan) that there will be more to come.

You know, I'm all for the second amendment but isn't anyone else getting tired of hearing about this? These events seem to keep happening more and more, right? At this rate, mass shootings will be a daily occurrence in America.

Something is very wrong and clearly it's not being worked on. Mental health issues comes to mind. If only all citizens had access to a mental health physician...

I hope no one is hurt and everyone gets out unharmed!

Count on the early information being mostly unreliable. What we need is the local police scanner. Someone google it and report back.

I would think a Wal-Mart in Texas would be one of the worst places to be an active shooter. Definitely an unstable person.

my heart can only take so much, before it becomes defended, and hardened..... sadly that happened a long time ago. But every day it seems, there is a reason that justifies the hardening of the heart.... When will people stop.....?

Don't get me wrong I love a good first or third person shooter game.... but not real life.
