I remember how the Charleston shooting had racist motivations, but those were QUICKLY overshadowed by people making the shooter into "JUST a crazy white person".

I suspect (and sadly admit) you may be right...

This terrorist will probably be labeled "just a crazy straight guy..." ... any "agenda" he HAD will probably go unreported and downplayed.

I'm just trying to state what I'm hearing. The fog of reporting with this is worst than I've seen with most events like this.

Loud explosion happened behind my live shot. Witness who has a sister holed up at a store across from club says it was a device detonated by OPD. Startled several people closer my direction because we were unaware

I am surprised the 24/7 news networks aren't covering it more. Usually even if NOTHING NEW is reported...they STILL go on and on.

I guess two issues would be the nature of what is going on in a small area and seemingly lack of people on the scene but with the shooting that happened last night, you would have thought that is where a LOT of media are hanging out.

This is looking more like a terrorist attack I think.

Only takeaways I got so far.

1) Multiple shots, dozens to hundreds of rounds reported.

2) Multiple injured, over 30 so far, maybe 40

3) Ongoing. Possible hostage situation

4) More than 1 shooter reported but not confirmed

That's about it.

Google maps shows that the ORMC hospital is just a few blocks away from the Pulse club, on the same road. It could be the same shooter.
