Declassified documents reveal the Pentagon toyed with the idea of an aphrodisiac chemical weapon in 1994.
The gas would have made enemy soldiers sexually irresistible to each other. The weapon's developers said homosexual behaviour among troops would deal a "distasteful but completely non-lethal" blow to morale.
The plans, unearthed from a US air force laboratory in Ohio, were published in New Scientist magazine.

If the Pentagon weren't so powerful, this would almost be laughable.
Sanc'.
Oh man - what will they think of next?
Makes the soldiers irresistable to one another? Yeah I guess that would be pretty bad for morale.
Imagine a couple decades from now:
"Grandpop, what did you do during the war?"
"Well little Billy, I was lying on the battlefield with my battalion."
"Where you under fire Grandpa?"
"No, little Billy, we were not...."
"Were you just laying there Grandpa"
"No not exactly, little Billy.........."
If the Pentagon weren't so powerful, this would almost be laughable.
How about keeping it simple and utilizing our entire nuclear arsenal so we can get rid of the pestilence known as man.

My, my, you are quite the optimist, I can just imagine someone celebrating his 16th birthday and sweatmonica comes up to them and says “what are you celebrating for , your going to die one of these days just like the rest of us”.

Yet oddly, it's those very weapons that have allowed us to live in peace (here in the US) for decades....(we just go stomping around elsewhere).
Without the threat of MAD, the US and USSR might have been in a HOT vs. a Cold War....

It's a good thing the Cold War never went hot. It'd either would've ended in two versions of NATO defeat or one gigantic MAD scenario.

Ever wondered why the good guys always win? I'm talking about allies in WWI,WWII and Nato and US in Cold War.
