I can't take him seriously anymore. I think he's a good guy, but he is just not someone I can support.

I'm throwing my vote away on a 3rd party candidate.

This is just sad. He should be ashamed of himself, this BS is what's pushing people to abandon the left.

WTF are you talking about?

Sanders said that Trump should stop inciting violence and stop condoning violence by telling his 'supporters' he will pay fines for their crimes. Trump IS taking full responsibility for the crimes of his supporters.

He also said that if any of his supporters engage in violence then they are on their own - he is positively NOT condoning violence in any way. Sanders does NOT incite violence and he does not encourage his supporters to engage in violence and, in fact, condemns those who do.

That is exactly the message he is trying to get across - violence has no place American Politics, Trump should stop inciting and condoning it. There is absolutely nothing that he said that even comes close to hypocrisy.

The only thing that smacks of hypocrisy here is the interpretation some folks put on that statement to turn it around into something that it was wasn't.

If you are looking for a 'reason' to not vote for Sanders, by all means, just don't vote for him. You don't need to twist his plain meanings into pretzels just to find an excuse. After all, Sanders probably won't win the nomination anyway

You really don't need an excuse one way or the other, but I encourage you to find a reason instead of an excuse. Reasons are much more useful than excuses.

What was ?

The interpretation that the Sanders opponents are putting on his remarks in this thread.

Everyone that did watch the video saw LEFT wing propaganda as Bernie was telling Trump to take 'responsibility' for what his supporters do.

Not true. What "Everyone that did watch the video saw" was Bernie telling Trump to stop encouraging his supporters to engage in violence and stop condoning that violence by offering to pay their fines.

When he got called out on what his supporters were doing, Sander's actually said 'why should I' ?'.

No he didn't. He actually said that since he does not incite or condone violence that he is not to blame for any violence that occurs by people who claim to be his supporters.

The difference is that Trump actively encourages and condones violent acts carried out in his name.

I could swear I've already answered the question your asking in detail multiple time and in multiple threads even. Let's just disagree and move on. Because I know you too well and I know you'll NEVER see what I'm saying anyway.

So let's just disagree like we always do and move on because I really don't want to type out a whole other post again dealing with the same thing again. If you haven't understood it yet then I must not be able to explain it well enough or something.

Dude, you have to break that up into a readable format. Nobody is willing to read something that long when it's just a big block of text like that.

Don't ya just love everybody telling Trump what to do?

Think that will work?

Bernie is an idiot. He totally loves what his people are doing.

What does he have to lose?

Alzheimers? If anyone has it, it is Donald. Have you seen the amount of flip flopping and denying Donald has done?

"I didn't say that. Oh I probably said that. Did I say that? no, I haven't heard of him. Oh I heard of him."

"Yes I'll pay the legal fees. Oh, well I'll probably have to look into it.. Oh, David Duke I know him. Oh, I have never heard of these various groups or David Due, I'll have to look into it. "

At Donald rally; the rally immediately after the Ohio incident. Donald literally repeated the rushing protester story FOUR times, and then he read a poem or song lyrics from a piece of paper.

If Bernie Sanders has Alzheimers, then Donald has some super Sayian form of Alzheimers. Either that, or he is a pathological liar; pick one. Admission of either makes him unfit to be a president.

Well, if someone came to my house with intention to ruin the party I've organized, I'm sure I would've round up my buddies to kick the crap out of them.

So Trump needs to take responsibility for his supporters, get on TV and tell his supporters violence in the political system is not acceptable, but when pressed with confronting the same issue himself concerning violence perpetrated by his supporters, Sandy says (paraphrased) "If I have to take responsibility for everybody that voted for me it'd be a very difficult life."

He wants Trump to do what he himself is unwilling to do.

Yep, hypocritical.

This. They both should do the right thing (and wont) but the leftist thugs did initiate the violence. Cant do that and expect people not to defend themselves. Sanders really isnt that different from Ttump -- "white people dont know what its like to be poor" He just attacks a different group. Hes pushing race politics in exactly the same way that Trump is.

I dont like the way Trump portrays Mexican immigrants, totally wrong. But hes right about needing borders, problems with Islam (its an ideology not ehnicity) and not getting shafted in trade deals designed to globalize.

I swear I am tired of the same old song and dance from Trump critics aka the left wing.

They are doing to Trump what they have done to gun owners for the last 75 years.

'own' actions they are not responsible for.

Perhaps investing in a safe-space would be your best bet. I'll gift purchase a box of crayons for you, and you can boldly write in all capital letters "NO LEFT-WINGERS ALLOWED," that way you no longer have to listen to *gasp* criticism of anything that isn't exactly what you agree with!

Obviously I didn't get it from that. I got it from when he said it in another statement. I believe the video is in this thread somewhere.

Don't know what to tell ya man. I also don't see what it has to do with gun control or gun owners either.

Guns have nothing to do with the topic, it's just typical conservative cry-baby politics.

Man - if people cannot handle opposing viewpoints, perhaps they should pick up a brochure to North Korea because NO ONE is allowed to express their viewpoint there.

Sanders is a card-carrying communist. It's mind-blowing that he's running for President. Trump is the way to go. The Democrats and the GOPe, plus myriad others are against him. The true masters of government in the US are exposing themselves. What a shunder!!!! Actually Sanders and Trump have similar platforms, believe it or not, they're both anti-establishment. Bernie won't win the nomination. You'd definitely be putting your vote to better use for yourself and the rest of us if you cast it for Trump.

Alright wise guys, what would you have said? So a couple of his supporters rushed an asshole who incites violence against minorities. He doesn't condone it, unlike Trump. He's simply stating the truth... "What am I suppose to do about it?".

He's not their den mother. It's not his responsibility.

I'm sure he has more important things to do. You know, like beat a facist hate monger in a political race and reverse the rapidly declining state of your country.

Trump romanticizes "the good ol days" where people were taken out on stretchers.

Like it or not, Trump now leads a large passionate group of people. It's naive to think that at least some of our tribalist idiot population hasn't found their way to his side.

A leader saying "I'm against political violence" and another leader saying "Take them out on stretchers" SHOULD be judged differently. Why shouldn't we?
