WHY IS BERNIE WINNING? That's the question.

And here is the answer: Because Americans are closet socialists. They don't generally CALL themselves "socialists", but they LOVE socialistic programs like Social Security, Medicare, public schools, public roads, public libraries, student loans, and on and on. On some level, Americans understand that these things are essential for a decent society -- whether or not they are called "socialism".

This is especially true of the young, who are unencumbered with the ridiculous "anti-socialism" baggage of old right-wing farts. They are also free from the toxic racist, sexist and homophobic baggage of older generations. The old right-wingers are dying off, thank God, and being replaced with more-enlightened younger people.

Young people are more honest about the ways in which socialistic programs have vastly improved this country --
www.dailykos.com... -- while right-wingers denounce socialism on the way to cashing their social security checks.

Americans love socialistic programs, AND (the other side of the same coin) they are getting fed up with the fascist socialism-for-the-rich bull#: wall street bailouts, corporate welfare, no prosecution of bankster criminals, "subsidies for Big Ag and Big Pharma, monopolization by cable companies and giant health insurers, giant tax-deductible CEO pay packages) -– all of which Bernie wants to end or prevent" (as someone else wrote).

As Robert Reich says, America is already a nation of Democratic Socialists. And it is becoming more so with each election cycle!

Americans are flocking to Bernie!

FEEL THE BERN!

the Sanders campaign is not about Bernie (as Bernie would be the first to admit). It’s about reclaiming our economy and our democracy from the moneyed interests that have gained increasing control over both. That movement is surging regardless of how many superdelegates Hillary has in her pocket, no matter what the DNC tries to do to sidetrack Bernie’s campaign, and notwithstanding the political biases of the New York Times or other establishment media outlets. It's surging because that movement is intent on un-rigging our political-economic system. That’s why millions of young people are joining it. That’s why it is the most positive force in American politics today. And that’s why it cannot be stopped, even if they manage to slow or even stop Bernie. -- Robert Reich

Bernie Sanders Will Become President. The FBI and 67 Percent of Americans Distrust Hillary Clinton
Bernie Sanders has positive favorability ratings. He's the only leading candidate in 2016 with positive favorability ratings....
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump do not have positive favorability ratings. 59% of Americans distrust Donald Trump.
67% of Americans find Hillary Clinton "not honest and trustworthy."

According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University on Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) destroys Republican candidate Donald Trump in a general election by 13 percentage points. In this new poll, Sanders has 51 percent to Trump's 38 percent.

According to the latest polls, Bernie is the strongest Democratic candidate in the general election, defeating both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in hypothetical matchups. (The latest RealClear Politics averages of all polls shows Bernie beating Trump by a larger margin than Hillary beats Trump, and Bernie beating Cruz while Hillary loses to Cruz.) .... Bernie Sanders, unlike Clinton, defeats Donald Trump in a landslide of “epic proportions” in a general election and is the antithesis of a Republican. .... Kathy Frankovic of YouGov.com states “Bernie Sanders is the most widely trusted presidential candidate of either party.”

American here......I despise social programs. None of them work because the government always finds a way to mess them up with corruption.

As far as Bernie winning, the superdelegates would disagree. Clinton has been hand picked

He could win I suppose.
But right now, it is a toss-up.

Bernie isn't winning though... In fact after Nevada, he may not win at all if he can't secure more of the minority vote share. Though his finish there WAS impressive.

Because a good portion of Americans are below average intelligence, feel the world owes them something (entitlement complex), uneducated and unable to critically think, gullible, incapable of learning from mistakes made in the past (Barack Hussein Obama who people also thought would give them free stuff), and emotionally immature.

Yeah, feel that "BERN" of truth.

Should we cordon off a safe space for you to recover from it?

Free stuff?

No we want our government to use it's money more wisely, no more welfare for wall street and their friends.

It is not about free stuff but rather, getting back from the elites what we and our families have paid for!

Tax the rich!

Thet won't go hungry!

That isn't true. The average person is average smart and that is plenty smart enough to know all about this election and who to vote for.

The only people who repeat this "free stuff" mantra over and over again are conservatives. Most liberals and DEFINITELY most Socialists understand that the costs for social programs come from taxes.

I believe the answer is much clearer..people just want change..I know that even the most staunch socialist will have a difficult time getting what they want in office so just hearing that he is rallying against big banks and wall street is enough for people to vote...Just like Obama wanted to get 101 and one things done it would be a complete surprise if he even completed 25% of his agenda items from day one that really impact the country.

So people just like to hear the idea of change and giving the middle finger to big banks, corporations and wall street...I think people are just weighing their options...Crazy Hillary, Crazy Trump or Old Guy Sanders....he seems like the lesser of two evils and by the way...they are not all far off on age for those who bring age into the Presidency..

Hillary is 68
Sanders is 74
Trump is 69

Thanks for your reply.

Anyone who comes out of NOWHERE, starting from ZERO, and now, 10 months later, is in a dead-heat tie with the massive Clinton machine, IS WINNING.

Funny, because I would cite exactly this as the reason why Americans are supporting Trump in high numbers.

Sanders is using a platform that has a record of success over entire countries. Trump's 'plan' (which isn't even a plan) hasn't yielded country wide success anywhere.

Yeah, I feel he should be running for hospice.

Do we really want a senile old man, set on growing the government and attacking the private sector in charge of us.

I guess his adorable and harmless old man character works on a few idiots.

I like to watch him chastise those evil rich people, while he collects his $175k taxpayer paycheck and typical lobbying payoffs.

It's funny, a lot of young people don't realize that old people are as scandelous as ever. They don't "turn good" at a certain age. Live in Florida a few years, if you need daily examples.

If you want to be scientific, I see Prius owners with Obama and Bernie stickers, usually with a kid sporting aa e-cig and a drug-rug, driving 5 mph under the speed limit, while texting.

Thanks for your reply.

The problem is that the private sector has consistently found ways to mess things up with MUCH WORSE corruption. Can you say multi-$TRILLION ripoffs? With no prosecutions? THAT is what the private sector hath wrought! Government might be bad, but lack of government is worse.

That is true, however, irrelevant to the point.

A PERSON on average, is, yes, average at 100 IQ.

The average AMERICAN PERSON, however, has an IQ of 98. Which is below the median average.

These are well researched statistics. Do a websearch for "average american IQ" or something similar.

The reason Bernie has the success he does is, honesty, integrity, no flip flopping, actually standing by his ideals, and most importantly, more so than anything else, his unwillingness to bow to the leash of big business and the banks. People are fed up with corruption of our leaders and their worship of big business and the all mighty dollar which makes their decisions for them.

Honestly at this point things are so screwed up, I don't care what the candidate is as long as they aren't a slave of TPTB.

Thanks for your reply.

The whole "free s**t army" meme is rubbish. The REAL "free s**t army" is the army of ultra-rich elites that have vastly expanded their wealth over the last several decades, stealing same from billions of other people at the bottom. THAT is the "free s**t army" -- not some penniless guy on welfare or unemployment. Sheesh.

I have to disagree. Trump supporters are sick of the establishment. No candidate is calling out the BS better.
We need a cut throat fat chopper at this point. Not a cute old man.
