Are you dense or just obtuse? What part of they aren't responsible for the end-result mark-up on your bill did you fricking MISS here? If the insurance industry & hospitals were no longer able to mark up the cost of a 10 cent pair of gloves to 50 bucks, it's not the manufacturer that's going to have to reevaluate the fall-out from said price padding.

It turned from from capitalism to crony capitalism just as socialism turns into communism. Capitalism failed in America as soon as the banks and corporations perverted it into what we have today. So yes, capitalism has failed in America, that's why we have what we have today, because of its failure.

Those aren't pure communism. Those were totalitarian communists. Pure communism is a society which is entirely equal and everyone does what they can to contribute to the upkeep of civilization. The only groups that have done this are small tribal groups that require cooperation from everyone to survive. The second someone feels they are more important than the rest, it breaks down unless everyone shuns/exiles that person.
