This sounds a lot like the type of bashing that happened more than once with the Ron Paul for President campaign. The little guy hires his friends and family not to enrich them really but because they are among the few people this political outsider can really trust for the job.

A berning sensation in your ass maybe. Yeah, you all got us with such great hits as...

Swing and a miss OP!
You people are so predictable
What a horrible source as well.
his post and thread definitely has moved me closer to voting for Sanders, rather than abstaining completely.
This is another pathetic whisper campaign put out by HILLARY.
So basically, none of this is scandal.
*Yaaaaaawn*
This is a petty & pathetic attack on Sanders.

Nothing. Nada. A bunch of conjecture, bias and opinion. If you want more of the same, vote for an Independent Socialist. I am not even calling him a Democrat anymore. However, he is what will kill your hope and dreams for a socialist and/or left nation.

He will split and go third party or his backers will not show up, take a 1/3 of Hillary's vote and Trump will be in office. Always looking at it from your slant but if you would step back, you would see who is controlling you and your thoughts.

Employing your family is not real politics. It is using your base to provide for your family. As an elected official you are a servant to the masses, not a user of the money the masses give you to pay your bills.

The Sanders fans will always defend their guy, the Trump fans will always defend their guy.

It's best to look at both candidates and realize that unless some drastic changes are made in the next few years, America's money problems are going to be irreversible, making this one of the most important elections in American history.

Between these 2 candidates I feel that Sanders isn't going to get the nomination, and if he did he would be too tied down by the DNC establishment to be able to do what needs to be done outside of their interests.

Trump isn't perfect either but at least he is pissing off both parties, popular enough to get the nomination and knows that politics, like business, is all about deal making.

That's the thing, people actually think that Sanders is going to be the Democratic nominee when it's pretty obvious who they are already grooming to be the next POTUS.

I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of unhappy voters on ATS when they see the Clinton ballots next year.

That is true. Bernie will not be president.

Doesn't change the fact you peddle propaganda and lack the very basic understanding of it while you try to spoon feed it to others.

I've never understood what it meant to be a puppet, but I thank you for giving me the insight.

Yea, because you really seem like the person who should be giving others advise on getting a better perspective on things?!?!?! You've got your head up Trump's Rump you're like a prehensile tail. I doubt you can see much from in there.

It seems from reading this thread that many have tried to help you break down the figures to show that the amounts paid to his family were small and probably less than would need to be paid to an employee with the same employment interests. But your not listening.

You clearly already had your mind made up about Sanders and that is fine but as an outsider who is reading both sides, it seems anyone that looked at the numbers found that there was no abuse of campaign funds, instead it showed good value for the funds. Those that believe there was abuse are not referring the figures, they are only referencing the "6 figure" headline that seems to be out of context the way it is explained.

I am not peddling propaganda. I am posting about something that I don't like. First, do not assume that you know who I am especially based on some online posts.

I liked Bernie. I like Obama when he ran. I did not not trust him in the end run and this, to me, shows me that Bern is a career politician. That is not what I am looking for in a candidate. I am looking for someone who is traightforward and certainly not afraid to defend himself.

After the BLM rally where Bernie stepped back, I wanted to know more about the person who could take the nod from Hillary. I was not impressed but I also did not hate him. I hate Hillary. I really do. She has no ethics, morals or class by how she acts. The POTUS is simply a notch in her bedpost and a way for Bill to get laid in the oval office one more time.

I like Trump. I also like Rand, and Huckabee. They are all, to me, very straightforward.

It does not matter because most of you are here not to offer a different view but simply unsupported opinion or one sentence wanna get star posts..

I agree, I am just sick and tired of career politicians in general.

They have been screwing up America for so many years that I would jump to support anyone who isn't in politics to make a living.

Straightforward... you use that word like its always a good thing. I would apply these immortal words of Terry Pratchett to Trump, Rand, and Huckabee. " The kind of man that Confuses bluffness and honesty with merely being rude." Yes, they are straightforward. They're straightforward about their racism, they're straightforward about their intent to make folklore the law of the land, and they're straightforward about applying generous amounts of hate upon specific groups and religions. Remember, these men are all still politicians (Yes, even Trump. Trump is just in his own pocket.) so if they're this upfront with this much offensive crap, what are they hiding?

NO racism. Sorry if you do not like religion but it is a right in this country to freely follow a religion and to not be tied down to the religion of the governments choice. NO hate either.

You should be more straightforward in your life and maybe then you can be yourself and not a mindless tax paying drone. Good luck with following the immortal words of a sci-fi author

Our Government doesn't have a choice of Religion. In fact it's strictly forbidden for the Government to favor any one Religion over another. I am curious what Religion you think our Government chooses though???

I don't know why you keep saying others are mindless drones when it's pretty clear that Religious Followers are some of the most mindless, non-free thinkers ever. Using ancient texts of mythology and superstition written ages ago which they still follow, are forbidden to question and must believe to be true against any and all opposition. Not exactly the group voted most likely to come up with a novel idea.

I think the bigger scandal is that "The Bern" says everyone should get $15 and hour, but pays staffers much less than that.

Aren't these staffers extremely important, especially if he wins?

C'mon Bern, put your money where your mouth is. Or do you become a "capitalist pig" when it comes to your own money?

America's money problems are going to be irreversible? The Debt:GDP ratio has been trending (slowly) downward in the past few years. IF the economy were to tank, rather than continue growing (hopefully at an accelerating pace) and not outpace the rate of spending increases, then we could start getting into serious problems, but suggesting irreversibility is disingenuous at best, as it ignores both economics and history.

Also, as far as I know, nobody was panicking in the 1940's when the debt was 40% larger as a percentage of GDP (the only measure that matters.) It took awhile to get back down below 30%, but it happened.

As a non supporter of Bernie, while I like that he's challenging the status quo. Also as others have remarked, Ron Paul's family "kept deals" with family as well. Not in agreement of the practice per se.

While not necessarily illegal, the Sanders family’s apparent tendency to keep deals within the family, so to speak, is somewhat at odds with Sanders’ emphatic focus on anticorruption rhetoric.

Another source that goes onto explain what the OP does.

Interesting to bring up and likely should be known about. But it also seems deflecting maybe to try to add positive notes to Hillary. though, I bet it's nothing compared to the Clinton's family deals. Any of the Hillary experts care to weigh in?

If by staffers, you mean interns - inferns that have no federal contract to pay/minimum wage, in a sense - you'd be correct.

Except the last time people attempted to run with that, they quickly understood the dynamics behind this very simple fact. Internships are not jobs, and are not positions that are entitled to pay.

The fact that he pays his interns something - and a decent wage - is more telling than someone who doesn't understand how internships work.

Why are you creating hit pieces and trying to use old BS to slander a man that has no chance to win the nomination?

You're seeing the modern news model in action. It's all about telling people what they want to hear. Truth and facts are irrelevant, just write stories that people want to hear and it lets them remain happy and blissfully ignorant. That is what you are seeing on display here.
