Here's something I made today in just under 2 hrs.
5X7 card, gesso'd and painted, ily (lol).

Here's something else pretty old and unfinished and unseen by most eyes.
5X7 card, graphite and prismacolor marker, girl & flowers.

Those are really good. Seems like it's time to graduate beyond "sometimes".

lol TY! It would be cool if I could just sit around all day and make art. But for now... I'm in school and working and got things going on, so whenever I can I squeeze one out!

You have a talent that I envy!

You are obviously very talented, the first piece of art while not something i would ordinary be attracted to does raise a element of emotion, I think its something about the graphic image of the heart, the twist of the normal use of the cupid love heart that pulls at my emotional strings. The second picture while it does not raise any truly emotive feelings one cannot deny its beauty, there is something quite peaceful about that picture, its the kind of thing one would hang in a quiet room.

S&F thanks for sharing.

Wow ty for that quick emotional assessment! I really get it and that's why I don't really like the girl. It's dead to me, lol.

Painting or drawing is one of the things I really would have loved to learn but never did

You are pretty good - I like them both ...keep it going

You show some real talent! If it's only "sometimes", do more. Seriously. There is real feeling in the face of the girl. That takes talent. I have a couple of kids who are artistic that way. The younger, still at home, has a sketch pad in hand more often than not. She says those are nice, too! The second is worthy of enlarging and hanging on the wall, seriously.

Geez, is that girl based on elements of your avatar? Same nose and brows...

I really like the sherry color of the eye. Are you in Art School ? You should be. Very nice.

Wow ty! My next personal mission is to conquer/understand how light falls on things (particularly a face and body) and then to be able to produce the moods and feelings and images I'm seeing in my minds eye without needing too many references.

Your drawing is amazing!

The girl is someone I know, it looks like her I think even though when I use people's faces for my own art I just use them loosely and don't try to achieve a great likeness (unless I'm doing a portrait of course, but this isn't a portrait, more like practice). The photo in my avatar is me. I'm in school for Graphic Design, so it's art basically. lol. But not really like this. I do my own stuff whenever I can or feel the urge.

Thank you all so so much!
