Dont violate turkish airspace is the lesson. This is not the first time russia violated it and was warned what would happen.
The fact putin is trying the "posed no threat" excuse tells me he knows the jet violated turkish airspace. If it isnt then Putin would not need to include the no threat comment.

The Turkish government would have known the implications, when they shot the Russian plane.
Even if investigations turn out in favor of Turkey, what use was this incident other than confirming Turkey's dedication of defending their airspace.
The Russian plane didn't pose a threat to Turkish national security, did it?
The whole area needs wiped out by Russia,Nato,U.S. and then get Assad out and fix the place.Doubt that happens though.

Attacking persons parachuting from an aircraft in distress is a war crime under Protocol I in addition to the 1949 Geneva Conventions.
Savages the lot of them.

I wonder why do Turks need this propaganda if they are right.
Turkey is right? So you execute two pilots who landed (parachuted) alive? And they're a part of NATO? I thought that was a war crime?

here you can see the radar image

According to this, the plane "goes" through Turkish airspace ... but is shot down over Syria, and crashes in Syria.
I hope Putin invokes Article 51, and not just against Turkey ... but against Nato as a whole. As the weapon used to destroy the helicopter, a rescue helicopter, is a NATO weapon.

All nations involved have there own agenda.

We're not allowed to swear on here, but this is the biggest ever cluster fudge I've ever seen in my life.
So many intertwined, conflicting, loosely allied sides all shooting and bombing each other.
It is insane man, their is fractions of terrorist that come out that no one ever heard of in the fight every month.

It's simple to use. You can find the manual and launching instructions in the Internet, but it was designed to be as easy as possible to operate.
