Paris shooting: Several 'killed and injured after shootout' in French restaurant

Reports are coming in from Paris on Friday afternoon of a shootout at a restaurant, and an explosion in a bar near the Stade de France stadium, where a soccer game between France and Germany was in progress. Multiple fatalities have been reported at the restaurant.

5:38 PM EST–BREAKING: Reuters reporting yet another shooting, this one at Les Halles shopping mall. Sky News notes that the mall boasts “the biggest underground station in Western Europe.” The mall had been cited by the newly ISIS-affiliated, previously Al Qaeda-affiliated Somali terrorist group Al Shabaab as a potential target:

From the looks of everything else, they are dead if they don't, if they are not dead already.

This makes me think... Sweden, who always been way too naive and we've had very poor/npn existing control of the people coming here, not requiring to show id etc, all of the sudden put up border controls this week, first time in many many years. Did they know something was up?

According to Swedish news, up to 60 people now reported dead in this terrible attack.

All election politics aside... for the president to step up and speak says a lot to this event all by itself.

Obama just referred to it as an act of terrorism, referred to the perps as terrorists, and said "we" would go after any terror networks.

This is just a taste of what's to come in the next 10 years.

The human race cannot progress until we rid ourselves of separative belief structures, religion.

I like to think that someday we'll just continue to trend away from these beliefs and reach another level of civilization and enlightenment. Sadly, I don't think it will ever go away. And forcing someone to do(or believe, or not to believe) something has NEVER worked, and never will.

I guess in the end were just screwed. The dummies have ruined it for all of us.
