Obviously the scientists know about the upcoming Ice Age, and are having their free speech suppressed because it doesn't conform to the global-warming lies.

I don't think a Ice Age is a secret anymore. Whether it's like Maunder-Minimum or longer is the question, not sure anyone has that answer. Do you have some links to credible scientists who have been censured or sanctioned for their opinions on this?

Far as I can tell it's just been a lack of mainstream media coverage. Plenty of incendiary stuff tho from sources with agenda's.

I think we are not looking into this closely enough..this gag order or non-disclosure amounts to simple management tactics used by the bosses to restrict the non-disclosure of grievances filed by the employees...Let me quote from the four winds PDF file
"(July 13, 2015) The General Cousel of the Department of Commerce instituted a new policy demanding that any settlement of unresolved grievances include a non-disclosure clause that will prohibit NWSEO from letting NWS employees know what the union has achieved, or how the parties' collective bargaining agreement has been interpreted and applied. As a result, NWS and NWSEO will be arbitrating a case on September 21 over 30.26 which management is willing to pay provided that union keeps it secret."

So it appears as though the nondisclosure is just a way upper management is looking to keep their employees in the dark around typical union issues...nothing to do with a gag order to hide what's going on with the weather...but some on here will like to believe otherwise because it's more juicy...

So there you are, something to rock everybody's boat if desired, buuuut not just a grievance issue really is it?

Let's see who all who are involved. Dept of Commerce, EPA...Oh! dear, NOAA/National weather service and union negotiators.

Also, by the looks of things, Caver78 is no goat's tow and not so easily fooled, kudo's to him for the topic.

The "gag order" concerned union participants in discussions with the NWS.

I sort of clicked expecting something more exciting.., perhaps even sinister, than this.

Im in California. Same town since the 50s. I remember in the mid 60s it was way hotter then this summer has been. I remember several 115 F days, and I think at least one 117 F day. The streets were so hot, you couldnt walk barefoot. I also remember winters where it rained so hard that guys paddled a canoe down the middle of my block, and cars died in deep water, women walking home in skirts and nylons, water up to their butt cheeks. I remember droughts, and floods,. cold winters, cool summers, hot summers, and even snow in my valley on a couple instances.
But now anytime anything happens, the sky is falling, the world is cooking, you need to be afraid and be ready to pay heavily for remediation , or ELSE.

There is more doom porn in the media then there is on ATS

Then this should be of real interest to you, part of the restructuring the union is against is the NWS being parted out into 6 regional areas. The issue with this is some weather in geographical places due to topography etc....is unique and taking marching orders from a office without a clue would actually be negligent.

The response times would be too slow, it actually does put the public at risk, as well as first responders, emergency managetment, hospitals schools etc...

I'll be the first to say upper union management are Satan Incarnate, but the rank & file are just regular folks trying not to get screwed over. I mentioned this topic isn't sexy, or Doom-Porn, but still something that bears keeping an eye on.
It will affect us till 2020, cost a butt load of our tax dollars and there has been a awful lot of back-room dealing so far.

I also initially thought it was Doom-science-porn, but was mistaken. '
However it IS interesting as all giddy-up and shouldn't play out in the dark. The more sunlight we can shine on this, at the very least we won't get blindsided. At best it's a neat education in civics.

If you'd ask me, an no one will, I'm glad the doom political threads on this got closed to keep this from being blown into something it isn't.

So it's a union issue-makes sense as no one can quite agree whether the unions are right or wrong. Kinda like the climate change debate.

I was redirected here by a global warming post. I was just gonna say global warming is 100% natural. You think anything we do affects the planet? Oil spills are naturally dealt with by the ocean. We stopped using cfc aerosols 20 years ago but nothing has changed. We recycle but nothing has changed.

The only thing that's changed is how our govts (UK and US) work out ways to make money from this latest scare-monger story.

For example, car manufacturers (who we all know are 'in' with the govt) could make clean / lean burn engines with 75+ mpg and no fumes. If they did, the govt wouldn't be able to tax us (the public, not the car makers!) on emissions through MOT tests, and make even more money from unfair petrol usage (i.e. putting humps in roads to 'calm' traffic where there have never been any accidents, and which will also give you half your normal mpg, and putting traffic lights on roundabouts which do not switch off even though they're only there to control rush hour traffic).

Swansea has a tide-powered electric generator ready to be built... the govt is experiencing hold-ups in the funding.

Yeah, ok.

So the gov. created some union grievances in order to get a gag order without raising suspicion over what is really happening in the weatherman community.

It just seems that the gag order would cover specific topic and not a blanket gag order on everything.
