In case you ever wonder who it is that votes Conservative, I guess I have a little better understanding after reading this thread. Amazing, though, how they manage to hide among us...lol.

You know, I hear this a lot around the boards. The recriminations, the accusations of fear mongering, doom porn, and the like. But if someone has a serious concern about something they don't know or understand, what better place to find out if their concerns are legitimate.

I agree fear is not always rational, and you can scream about how irrational it is all day and night; it is not going to change how the person with the fear, is going to feel or respond. For some all the hand holding and reassuring in the world, is not going to help their fear. For them, the fear is valid and legitimate.

I think that people should post about things they see, read, or know, if it concerns them, even if it may be frightening to some. I want to know. I am quite capable of separating the wheat from the chaff. If I am fooled, well, I rather err on the side of caution.

Oh for crying out loud! Listen Sweetheart… You came to our country so abide by Canada's Laws! How dare you to change them.. it is for everyone's safety that we see your face to see if it truly is you. I disagree with your right to wear that thing over your face when you are being sworn in as a Canadian. I can tell you that if I went over to your country and refused to Put that over my face- your country would not allow me to be part of your country. get over yourself princess. Go into a different room if it is all that important to you. Shame on you for making an issue. Go home if you don't want to abide by our safety and our rules. We do not need radicals like yourself! So tired of the Double Standards. I am not prejudice but this is ridiculous. Grow Up and Just do what is required of you. It is a gift and a privilege to become Canadian… so stop abusing it and wrecking it for all the others.

I'll never get over Canadians telling everyone how tolerant, egalitarian, and peaceful we are, and then turn around and spew crap that is about as un-Canadian as you can get...
Listen, learn a little about what your country actually stands for, and keep the Americanization of Canada out of it...
