I'm not saying WWIII is on, (yet) but let's take a look at the recent situation..

(I've added links regarding the ME situation below)

Starting with recent developments in Syria, involving Russian bombings of targets in Syria. Those targets include both ISIS and pro "rebel" targets. Today, The U.S. has warned Russia on it's airstrikes.

There has been a proxy war happening in Syria via "rebels" and the Assad regime for several years. We've been watching that develop, it's really no surprise we are seeing this now.But with so much tension, it seems anything can blow up at any time.

Today, Russia violated Turkish airspace twice, both close calls. This, while Turkey is dealing with it's own internal issues with the Kurds in the region. Turkey, also not a fan of Assad could go ape at any moment.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is saying there is "no future" for Assad. It seems as though they are willing to get him out, by force, if necessary. They are also in a proxy war in Yemen, bombing Iranian backed targets in Yemen. This could soon become "hot".

Now, we also have Iran in Syria, alongside Hezbollah fighting a front against Syrian targets, backed by Russian air support.

Over the weekend, 4 Israeli jets were intercepted and escorted from Syrian airspace by 6 Russian aircraft. Interestingly, almost as soon as Russia starts it's new campaign in Syria, attacks start happening in Israel, prompting police to limit access to parts of Jerusalem and bombing targets in Gaza. (After rocket attack) Rumor has it, something "big" is coming there.

I don't think I need to mention Iraq and Afghanistan, but they are a part of this. I don't think anyone would disagree that both countries are in complete chaos. Bombings every day there, and it's not going to stop any time soon.

All of this is occurring while Europe is experiencing a sudden MASSIVE refugee crisis of epic proportions(Coming from everywhere, not just Syria). I won't go deep in to that, except to say that ISIS promised it would happen.

China. China is a wildcard. Their financial system is on the brink while they build islands in international waters, putting military bases there. China also has warships in the Mediterranean but have not joined Russia in it's efforts there. (yet)

I have also heard rumors that cannot be confirmed that China and Russia are massing very heavy hardware in north Africa. Some are saying they are mounting something...

We also still have the situation in Ukraine. Nothing de-escalating there. NATO exercises ramping up in Europe, Poland preparing.

Earlier this year it seemed as though North and South Korea were going to pop off at any moment. Kim is insignificant, but if WWIII happens, I'm sure he'll go haywire, hoping nobody will notice during all the chaos, and they probably wont.

If this doesn't look like the brink of possible WWIII, then I don't know what does! What do you think? Feel free to add anything I missed. Also feel free to add running updates.

It's closer now than ever.. Since the bay of pigs I suppose...

What is even more scarier is the things happening right now, we do not know about...

I think ww3 will start with a tactical nuclear strikes from subs off the eastern seaboard..

I am willing to bet their are some russian subs in the atlantic and gulf of mexico vice versa North sea targets on Moscow etc.

Or it may start conventional but no way in hell it will not end without nukes unless their are some serious diplomatic breakthru's which appears doubtful.

The world went off the rails long before any of us were born.

My advice, lousy though it is, would be to grab some popcorn and a beverage of your choice, sit back in your most comfy chair and, as Aaron Rodgers once famously(or not) said, RELAX.

Yeah, sorry, I'm no help.

True. But I've been alive since the 70's and I've never seen it quite like this. I'm sure those whom were alive during the Cuban Missile Crisis have witnessed a time close to this one though...

I don't think there will be a nuclear exchange. WWIII will just go down in the annals of history as being a lot of proxy wars.

If Russia were to attack the mainland of the US with nuclear weapons it would be the end of all nations. We'd retaliate in full force, probably with backing from the UK. France might sit it out, but I doubt even that.

China would his back and side with whichever faction they assumed to be the winner. Or they'd make a mad grab for territory (South China Sea nations, Korean peninsula, and Japan) while the rest of the world is distracted and tied up elsewhere.

You know what, this is the perfect time for the West and it's allies to try to topple the Kremlin, but it's still not going to be that easy.

Just by reading the propaganda on the western media's, they are looking for the right alibi to finally confront Russia, as it is, Russia is doing everyone else a favor by hitting on IS/ISIL/Daesh whatever so leaves

If anything, you have all the key players to start of WW3, in the loop and it will only be a matter of time before anyone starts it off.

Modern warfare is scary, given the advances in technology since WW2, and is something that will be considered by each country who seeks to topple their enemies, especially going against a military powerhouse like Russia.

I take that means the US is saying, 'be careful who you kill, these gunmen are important to us...civilians? tough titty'

I don't think WWIII will ever happen. At least not in the way people think it would.
All countries will assimilate soon enough. Even the USA and even Russia and China.

Nukes will one day be truely shelved as the militarized world police have no enemies except for dissanents still clinging on to old world ideas.

The future will be homogenized and lacking emotions. There is no other logical path for the human race to take.

I disagree, current events and Western propaganda is being used to try to create conflict with Russia. It will not stop until something comes of this.

I applaud the Russian Military to have things under control the way they have conducted themselves so far in Syria.

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this very thing. The only way nukes would be shelved permanently is if a full proof defense system was in place that could deflect them 100% of the time, rendering them useless. Otherwise, nukes will never be shelved solely due to those "rogue" groups who would immediately take advantage of it.

I don't think intercontinental ballistic missiles will be launched in this age, simply due to the fact that we all understand MAD. But MAD doesn't necessarily apply to every scenario where nukes are used IMO. For example, if India nuked Pakistan, IF Pakistan retaliated the same, I think MOST countries would not find it in their best interest to start nuking as well.

Now, when you involve scenarios including NATO nations, then it gets much more complicated...

Anyway, I hope you're right!

Ww2 started the day ww1 ended. The Germans got such a bad deal that another war was inevitable.
If anybody is left after the third, they can figure out where it started.

I trust this not the course of action you would advocate.

Yes, the insiders like Zbigniew Brzezinski do advocate this
and in the case of Zbig, he hates Russia. It is worth noting
that Obama was "hand picked" by Zbigniew the way Zbig
selected Jimmy Carter.

(...and how Rockefeller had picked him).

There is a new and unique development in human history that is taking place around the world; it is unprecedented in reach and volume, and it is also the greatest threat to all global power structures: the ‘global political awakening.’ The term was coined by Zbigniew Brzezinski,

------

Zbigniew Brzezinski, an up-and-coming academic, joined the Council on Foreign Relations in the early 1960s. In 1970, Brzezinski, who had attended a few Bilderberg meetings, wrote a book entitled, “Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era,” in which he analyzed the impact of the ‘Revolution in Technology and Electronics,’ thus, the ‘technetronic era.’ Brzezinski defines the ‘technetronic society’ as, “a society that is shaped culturally, psychologically, socially, and economically by the impact of technology and electronics – particularly in the arena of computers and communications. The industrial process is no longer the principal determinant of social change, altering the mores, the social structure, and the values of society.”

Yes, but it also describes the past 10 years.

The question of exactly when this WWIII started
seems difficult to answer. Perhaps we can say
it started with the US reaction to 9/11 2001.

I don't know how this WWIII will sort itself out
but I can predict who the big winner will be.

The Big Winner: Bitcoin

cointelegraph.com...

Now, a person can walk up to a kiosk at over 4,000 locations across the Ukraine. Now, the country’s capital of Kiev can certainly be dubbed a “bitcoin hub” since you can now purchase cryptocurrency almost as easily as adding money to a bank debit card.

Alternative Digital Currency is growing in pace
with the expansion of these proxy wars.

O bama authorizes resupply of Syrian opposition

*Sigh*

You know, this news wouldn't bother me so much if this wasn't the reason the entire situation we are witnessing was caused in the first place.. Not to mention that many of these FSA "fighters" are what helped create ISIS. And ISIS can go to Hell....

I kinda agree with you, but I don't think Assad is worse than ISIS. Nothing is worse than those scum. We need to see ALL countries take them out, before anything else. But that isn't what is happening, unfortunately. :/

I don't know.. I think things got pretty intense at times during the 80's with Russia and the Middle East. It has probably been since then that things were this chaotic over there.
