hiya all,now this is just a bit weird for me,
now most people know the rockband "the who",right.
and the singer of the band is a well know musician.pete townsend.....right.
well ive just noticed that its changed.....have a google and see....

Roger Daltrey is, and always has been the lead singer, although Townsend has sung lead vocal on some songs and backing vocals for many. It hasn't just changed, it's been that way since they formed.

Mandela effect is so called because some people thought he was dead when he wasn't - not a great deal more to it than that.

My mistake, typed too quickly, I'm sure if he is on ATS he can live with it.

I have always known the name Pete Townsend of The Who not Pete Townshend of The Who. I remember his name in relation to The Who, child pornography offences, his performance at the London Olympics etc.

Sept 20 - video post spells “Townsend” with note - “A few words from Pete on iHeart Radio. (Yes, we know they spelled his name wrong!)”

Sept 24 - video post -“Eric Clapton w/- Pete Townshend” from 1989 program on BBC called “Satturday Matters” (spelt incorrectly with double “t”). First comment by Shannon B “is that really how it is spelled? Satturday?” and reply by Pete’s Facebook “No. It was a typo by whoever loaded the footage.”

I just checked my The Who greatest hits Cassette from the early 1980s....

He is Pete TownsHend.

Yes Ive seen it written many times as Townsend over decades.

People have written names wrong for years, in many articles, doesnt mean they were/are correct.

It is Townshend.

Not the Mandella effect, just people misspelling etc.....which means...yes, people have seen the name Townsend.

I think what we are really starting to see is that the human species is still pretty damn dumb lol

Sorry I can't anything else as I know who The Who are but could not tell you the difference
