Iranian troops boots on ground with Russians in Syria...

www.ynetnews.com...

Iran has been involved in Syria for yonks, and not just a couple of guys sightseeing FFS.

Tell that to the guy who wrote the report. FFS. Do you want me to go there myself and verify the reports I have posted?

Dont shoot the messenger.

I wouldn't want to shoot a messenger..particularly, but it does behove you to read a column or two in the link, and try to verify a little of the recent history of the subject matter as opposed to what is written in the link... especially as you say you have been researching the subject all day.

US/Israel warships have been conducting air strikes on Syria for much of the past year and change.

but now the strikes are escalating as US ships DOCK in Israel and set up more permanent missile launch bases to increase strikes on Syria

To be fair.

- Afghanistan was already brutalised by conflict and mayhem following the Russian intervention. Arguably it's in a better state now.
- Iraq was run by a brutal dictator who was responsible for the deaths of countless thousands.
- Libya was a repressive dictatorship.

Well, if you really want to be "fair"...

1. Afghanistan was a war torn country after the Soviet-Afghan War. I'll give you that.

2. Saddam was responsible for the deaths of thousands. But our original sanctions after the 1st Gulf War were so brutal, they directly contributed to the deaths of more than 500,000 Iraqi children.

And the recent war also killed far more Iraqis than Saddam did. And at least Saddam kept the country together & stable. It's been a destabilized mess since our invasion.

3. Libya was not a repressive dictatorship under Qaddafi. Libya had the best economic situation in Africa under him, and Libya regularly gave funds to other African countries. Now Libya is a war ravaged wreck "ruled" by a powerless central government & strong paramilitaries & warlords.

It is funny I was reading some John Titor material the other day and he said "world war 3 mostly begins with a middle eastern country breaking a deal that it would never use nuclear weapons in war".

Iran definitely fits the bill. Especially since that big deal the UN and Obama struck with them. Japan betrayed the peace treaty in WWII I don't think it's hard to imagine Iran doing the same, especially if this continues to escalate.

You know something is hotting up when you see the back of netty going through the door of No 10 to 'talk with cameron. A lot of people signed a petition for him to be prosecuted for war crimes yet he still skulks our streets and poisons our politics IMHO.

The idea that the USA and Israel are in Syria to prevent chemical warfare is a very sick and insincere joke. Both these allies are fully aware of the chemical industry the UK has and especially its supply of chemicals for warfare - even to Syria. Maybe I have misjudged netty, perhaps he wants cameron to stop this bad trade agreement or he wants supplies also.

This whole Syria business is yet more despicable by the day and no one from the political spectrum is coming out of it with any sense of decency, dignity or especially their humanity, just hypocrisy for some, plus the taint of personal greed for most.

In all honesty, apart USS San Antonio docking at Haifa, there is no reason to think USA and Israel are invading Syria more than they were doing in the last 2 years.

USrael .. I like that.

So what is happening here?

Has the United States all along been like a hooker for the TPTB?

Who stands to gain from all the involvement in the Middle East? Is it the United States? Or have we been pawned?

Israel certainly does by being able to expand back into Syria and reclaim land it anciently associated as its own. Eases the settlement expansion also and possible oil just off the coast of Syria.

So Russia makes a move to help Assad against ISIS (probably the biggest enemy of the entire world) so the USA and Israel steps in to stop that? What does this tell us?

I am so glad I'm starting to get racist towards Americans, it's such a great feeling.b

Actually that is a very good point. Israel is pretty full and they have a population growing very quickly through natural births plus immigration. The way things are going Israel will need more 'lebensraum' soon................ What an oportunity

Didnt Russia just put a nuclear submarine near Syria? Will they start using nukes?

Also this explains the massive number of sudden refugees into Europe and the US.

Yes the nuke sub, biggest sub on Planet Earth with 200 warheads
Like you say all those refugees getting out of Syria and Iraq. Both states are destroyed totally, but the way things are taking shape with the Russia, Israel, USA, Iran all on the same playing field, well................. Sad to say but things in this proxy war are probably going to get so much worse. Too much at stake for all involved. This IS the big one with those four about to go at it. Hell on Earth is what I'm thinking. Prophesy in the making.

after over a year of ongoing 'limited' US strikes on Syrians, US is finally coming clean (now that Russia is finding American troops all over Syria that US has continually denied!) and admitting that is increasing strikes on Syrians and has no interest in diplomacy with Assad whatsoever.. in essence US is reiterating Assad's fate is sealed and as far as it is concerned, Assad is the next late Gadafi.. Americans' tax dollars hard at work!

Obama: Russia's support of Assad is 'doomed to failure.'

Rewrite as much history as you like to fit a world view. The Gaddafi regime had brilliant PR. The reason what the UN mandated a "no fly zone" in Libya was to prevent Gaddafi's brutalisation of dissent. People blame the West for everything, which conveniently hides the truth that this is primarily Muslim violence against Muslims. Assad is not thinking of the US when he drops barrel bombs on markets, and ISIS is not thinking of the US when it institutes a programme of sexual slavery of girls to satiate the appetites of its "pure" fighters.

This violence existed before the West came along and is now showing us the true face of the hatred Muslims have for each other and anyone else that is different.

To OP. There is no evidence that Israel is invading Syria. Israel may take pot shots at Hezbollah, who are involved. Israel is content to watch the Arab world - many who are overtly hostile to Israel - tear themselves apart. Why interfere?
