If a border patrol agent comments how cute your dog is, you better not ignore the compliment!

Some of the actions by these border police are really getting kind of ridiculous. Here's a female law student who gets pulled over to have her car searched and she gets tazed just because she ignored a female border patrol officer complimenting about her dog!!! A male border patrol supervisor than can't control or subdue a female, so the female border patrol officer tazes this young women! She was detained 3-4 hours after her car was found to be clean.

So now if you're hard of hearing, or don't respond to a simple comment, your targeted for possibly transporting illegal drugs?

This young lady knew her rights, yet the border patrol was still trying to find something to charge her with! These border patrol police don't like to have their illegal searches questioned. Sometimes I feel like I'm no longer living in the U.S. but a tyrannical state. The police and border patrol agents are clearly over stepping the rights of American citizens.

ATS what do you think after watching the video?

Then you've given them power to limit where you can travel.

I can't get the video to load. So, was she tased for ignoring a compliment about her dog or was it for ignoring an order to move? Your title says one thing, video caption says another.

The woman sure didn't help her own cause by being combative but border patrol created the whole situation in the first place.

If you don't want any trouble with border patrol just tell them your from Mexico and they will not question you they might even give you a personal escort across the border.

I am the supervisor but I don't know what's going on. that's funny. Is it just me or does the supervisor seem a little slow??

I think it is ridiculous when people think they are going to win a argument with a cop. Nope ain't going to happen, it's a lot like arguing with a Russian propagandist. They're always going to have an answer and they're never going to listen to anything you have to say.

The best bet for anybody that has an issue with a cop is follow orders complain after he's gone to the proper authorities or hire a lawyer.

Oh yeah and I am very happy to say. That at least in this confrontation the ladies dog survived.

More power tripping whatchamacallits. You didn't stand exactly where I told you to and insisted upon your rights and I don't like that so I'm going to force you to move and taze you. I like how they claim she assaulted a federal officer. Sure doesn't seem that way from the video. Sure, something could have happened we couldn't see but certainly doesn't look good for those border patrol officers.

It's hard to tell why she was tazed from the video. The one officer tells her to move. She says she doesn't have to (which is true, she wasn't in their way, why the hell did she have to move?). The officer doesn't like it, seems that he attempted to force her to move. Not sure if she resisted it or what but she was basically tazed pretty much immediately. At least, that's my assumption based on her screaming.

She was tased because she questioned his authority, how dare she tell him where she can stand.

ATS what do you think after watching the video?

I think her tuition was wasted on a complete idiot.

How anyone with a mouth and attitude like that can become a individual working in Law makes me cringe. The entitlement is strong with this one.

I said it before on another thread on this video and I'll say it again:

The brat deserved every volt she received.

**Bonus Points for Sensationalist Headline**

Her tazing had nothing to do with her dog and had everything to do with her combative attitude. She brought it on herself be getting out of her car and being aggressive with Border Patrol. Instant Bad Karma right there.

Moral to the Story?

Stay in your car.
Be polite.
Move along without incident.

Being a pretty laid-back guy, not too many things enrage me. One of those things is an authority figure abusing an innocent person simply because they assert civil rights. Rights which are guaranteed by the US constitution. A constitution which these people swear an oath to uphold above all else - especially above their own foolish pride.

If a person's ego-to-intellect ratio is so unbalanced that he/she can't accept limits to authority, that person does not qualify to wear a badge. I hope this woman pursues all possible legal avenues toward punishing the officer/bully in charge.

I don't know. They said she was detained for 'acting nervous' ... but found nothing in her car. Makes me wonder why she was 'acting nervous'.

She certainly knew she was being singled out. Probably found that to be more than a bit unfair. The Law of the Land says we can travel unimpeded.

Might want to look at a map of border patrol's power circle, as it extends further than you think. What do they call it now constitution free zones or something. I know the radius is ridiculous.

Yes, bow down to your masters or else you may be tazed or worse. Give me a break, that attitude is terrible. People need to stand up for their rights or they don't get to keep them. That's exactly what's happening and your attitude is helping it along immensely. She did nothing illegal, at least as far as we can tell from this video. It's hard to tell what happens once the agent goes at her, but he never did have cause to do that in the first place.

Further, you can tell by what the border patrol says at the start the whole reason they're detaining her to begin with is because the agent felt she seemed nervous. Bunch of crap to that she was even on the side of the road to begin with. So much wrong with this video. Newsflash: We have rights. We don't have to just bend over and take it because some jerk with a badge says so.

Just because she has a bad attitude doesn't mean they get to taze her. Feel free to let them step on and take all your rights. I have no problem standing up for mine. Of course, I probably would have been shot in that situation just because I'm big so me standing there probably would have put them "in fear for their life."

It's not "bowing down" to anyone.

It's called being polite in social situations.

My god you kids are completely indoctrinated to bad NWO YouTube videos.

And to think you guys are the ones screaming for the rest of us to "WAKE UP"

No seriously.
Thanks for the laugh.

How many Border Checkpoints have you crossed in your lifetime?
I'm guessing none.
