Just saw this video on Reddit,

This bad boy is fast and I'm guessing the pilot is very skilled. I know the drone wouldn't survive long if I was trying these maneuvers myself.
It has a thrust to weight ratio of 12:1

It is real, I'd love to have something like that with a Virtual Reality / Oculus Rift headset on.

I think it's sped up footage. Something about the tracking of the video and the occasional speck crossing the screen that seems off. How do you know it's real if I may ask?

The specks crossing the screen are most likely bugs. Also if you look in the background of the video there is a road. Cars go by at a regular pace (look around 20sec into the video)

This video shows just how powerful the thing is a bit better:

I'd probably fly it right into my head or fly it from inside a batting cage.
Something tells me that would be best given my level of skill with the regular model copters I have flown/crashed.

Certainly cool!

I saw the vehicles in the background but it shows during parts of the video when the drone isn't doing the outlandish maneuvers so It could be the footage is being sped up in various parts for effect. It's still halla fast for a drone but I'm just not convinced yet. I also read the comments on youtube and the bug vs. bird is a possible explanation. I'll keep an open mind I guess.

Just watched again in 1080p and now I'm convinced those are high flying birds moving impossibly fast

I slowed down the video and I think it's speed up. @ 1:31-1:32 if you slow it down to .25 speed, birds fly by VERY quickly. When watched at normal speed, they are fighter jet speed. The seem more natural at a slower pace.

From the reading I have done they say he clocked one of them at 144km/h or about 90mph.

No need for sniper rifles any more when you can use drones at high speed to take out targets anywhere. I'm sure the speed alone would kill but attach a small blade and you have quite the deadly unit.

no wonder homeland is freaking out about these. I wonder how much blowie-up stuff could be carried with that much friggin' power....it's a wonder Washington hasn't been attacked yet...somebody there should come up with a plan really, really fast.
