I read about this a few weeks ago, it is a really nice colour and so clear, like an ice cave. It looks almost like a piece of jade or jelly.

Water is actually blue for those that don't know that yet, and icebergs often show this, even more in this one as it is clear.

For those I did not reply directly to... Thank you for taking part in my thread. I agree with you all that it is something of beauty. It's always nice to see things in this world that are new IMO. We get so used to seeing everything Day in and day out, that it is refreshing to take a second or two on occasion to admire something that we haven't see a million times before.

So thanks for enjoying it as much as I did when I saw it. You guys are pretty great as far as I'm concerned.

*drools* I loooove the colours!!!
Watching something like that happen would be pretty intense. There's a documentary called 'chasing ice' and at the end there's a chunk from a glacier about the size of Manhattan breaks and flips, the power and sound behind it us just stunning.

Thanks!

I've seen something like that and it is breathtakingly powerful! Sometimes it's hard to believe that something so beautiful can cause so much chaos and heartache.

I knew that it wouldn't take long! Never lose hope is what I always say.

You caught me out. I was trying to hide the truth and I guess my skills just aren't up to par with you guys lol.

LOL I couldnt resist after WakeUpBeers comment

You know, that berg would be worth a fortune if you could tow it home, apparently those who like the real expensive whiskies will pay a fortune for the ice because as its millions of years old it is not contaminated and doesnt ruin the flavour of their whisky.

Very cool! Does anyone know how often icebergs flip? My guess would be once a year haha.

I would guess it depends mostly on the weather
If its hot and sunny the top will melt and its not going to flip.
If its cold and snowing it will eventually become top heavy, that might cause it to flip.
