I took it with a pinch of salt and overlooked bs, what I ended up with was a good action movie.

I did the same last night with lone survivor and got the same result.

In your defence though I am British, therefore the film gave me nothing to be ashamed of. I guess it's my guilty pleasure with movies.

I think it definitely has value as a good action flick. I'm not into war movies, but with the director and actors, I think it probably has potential to be a "good" (not great) movie.

I've been a member of ats for about 6 yrs and can remember when this site was actually about conspiracy theories and having fun talking about stuff put out there by richard c Hoagland and John lear that was crazy but entertaining I never once commented just enjoyed the reading but over the last year I have noticed all the hatred in the threads towards the United States and kept my mouth shut I only chimed in today because Chris Kyle had more heroism in his little pinky than most of the population ! I was part of the derailing too. I just cannot stand "soldiers" posting such inflammatory conflicting information, just because they have a feeling that they have "saved the world"..

Back on track. "American Sniper" - another Hollywood piece of ... Inspiring the youth that the military is just fun and giggles, and hey? Who can kill the most people? US political correctness?

I wonder, will there be a PC-game based on the book too? If so, is this targeting the youth? And why?

How come when someone has a different opinion than you they are considered uninformed maybe we are just able to take in all the information and we just come up with our own opinion rather than jump on the bandwagon I hope they do make a video game and his wife and family get some of the proceeds

What I have noticed is all Americans are being judged as watching Fox News as if we are to stupid to change the channel or read the newspaper or research stories online and come up with our own opinion! You have been making a lot of noise here about how I supposedly hate and disrespect the military and the country, even though I have said that neither is true.

I would just like to point out that what I'm doing here is explaining why I have a problem with this ONE INDIVIDUAL. We have multiple documented cases where this guy has lied, which I don't believe is within the code of honor of the US SEALS, so don't talk to me about disrespecting the military. Tell it to Mr. Kyle. I don't think he "served with integrity" or "took responsibility for his actions". Therefore he's no hero.

If YOU choose to promote and defend this liar, you are certainly entitled, but my respect for the country and what the military is supposed to be, leads me to have a different opinion.
