If it works it will be suppressed. No money in healing people. Not a constant revenue stream. They are used to treating side effect not problems. The elite may have access at a secret club. But nothing about medicine is about healing. All cures and alternative medicines are suppressed or illegal.

Suppressed? Like all the other incredible medical breakthroughs of the last century we've been enjoying? There's lots of money in curing people. Just because you can cure a disease doesn't mean that people will stop getting the disease. Even if this lazy, logic-devoid conspiratorial narrative was true, a living patient spends more on future healthcare than a dead patient.

If they run into any unwanted adverse affects do they have an "off switch" or a way to quickly neutralize the nano bots?

Pick one, Cancer, Cholesterol, Ebola. I myself can give better solutions. Just give me time to put together all the links i have saved among the hundreds. I should have them in folders but i don't. Sleep now. I'll respond in a few days if you choose.a reply to: GetHyped

If you read what he's doing, it's less "nanobots" than "engineered antibodies we're calling nanobots".

Not that it's not interesting. But if you're thinking "Star Trek" nanytes, it ain't.

Being ignorant of facts is where most choose to be. It's a big club. Not quackery. Science. Sorry if that is over your head. Or may may you think to hard or discredit you indoctrinated beliefs. FLATWORLDER

this makes more sense. the first nano therapies have trials already underway. they rely on blood and and interstitial fluid to transport the nano agents. the nano agents are dumb rather than actively moving seeking and working under AI, and nano motors and manipulators. they have a chemical key attached that docks with targeted receptors or molecules on targeted cells or chemicals. they then release a theraputic drug on the targeted cell or chemical. these work so well in early trials they are being called miraculous.

that said this year has been full of news pertinent to the development of actual nanites or nanobots. nano motors demonstrated, nano legs and arms, all of the subsystems that would go into a nanite other than nano brains and AI. so that too is making rapid progress.

This is the single greatest thing I have seen come out of human ingenuity. I cant for this to become open source and have people experiment with altering their own DNA with custom upgrades. More memory faster processing. this is the dawning of the golden age again.

You just made my day
.. "blessed goat piss"..

Seriously though: there are numerous alternative treats for various diseases which may work. Some of them seem to use some mechanism we don't (yet) understand. Some of them are plain and simple bogus. That's the problem, right there: we don't have any insights in when something is bogus and when it may really work. To get that insight we need old fashioned scientific research - or a lust for gambling with our lives, take your pick.

I'd go for a good mix-and-match. If one has cancer, he or she better visit a specialist, ordinary old-school type. If you have a cold, you might just as well try alternative treats. And if the old-school die-hard no-stinking-goat-piss doctor has some idea of how the human psyche works, he may even subscribe a non-conventional drug - if it make the patient feel better, it's allright, as long as it does not hamper the original treat ..

In short: blessed goat piss may even work. But before you sip from it, visit your GP.

a reply to: loremipsum I think this is a wonderful step in the right direction concerning healing human condition that has plagued us for far to long. However, I see a problem also. It is call BIG PHARMACEUTICAL, BIG GOVERNMENT. If it cures these cancers BIG PHARM, AND BIG GOVERNMENT will loose money. I suspect these two entities will collude and make it impossible for this successful cure to work for anyone.

First ask yourself what is cancer? What causes it? Can you affect that? What feeds it? Can you not feed it? What environment does it live in? Can you affect that? How does it affect the body? Can you help the body from being affected by it? Can or have you killed it? What can you do to kill it if it still is surviving? How does it affect the body when you kill it? Can you help from those affects? A scientific approach is best. Many things need to be done besides poison that poisons you. Do they even support your immune system while killing it? No. Do they support the overwhelmed organs from die off? No. I bet a healthy person that uses the conventional treatments may die from the current treatments itself. Yes all the answers are out there for anyone to see if they look for them. Continue to hammer nails in with your head instead of a hammer if you choose. I choose a hammer.

Indeed, I sadly have to agree with you that Big Pharma and government are evil. However, I do not hesitate for a second that they have found a way to monetize this. Just like free and open-source software. It exists and is very powerful, but overshadowed by paid software. I think that this is the latter category, but do believe that the former will come too. Eventually...

That's just the people's choice. I've been using Free and Open Source Software for decades now and have been avoiding close sourced software whenever possible. Haven't had a problem with viruses ever since. Haven't had a problem with instability ever since. Haven't had any problems with not being able to do something I'd want to do with my computer ever since. Can edit video, create movies, make DVD's and CD's, print whatever I want, have a very decent wordprocessor, a workable project planner, calendar services, browse the Internet (both with and without TOR), mail, chat, process graphics etc. etc. etc.

There hasn't been anybody who stopped me. I even managed to avoid the mandatory MS license that you normally get forced down your throat if you buy a PC: I was able to buy a server that came 'without OS'. Good.

So, the idea that you can't switch to a full FOSS suite because some evil force is stopping you - that's rubbish.

Do it.

Don't forget all the other things they would spend money on, its better for the economy.

This is fantastic news but I don't understand they say 5 years before preliminary human trials yet they are going to inject someone this summer? Do they just mean it will be available to public in 5 years?

Nanotech looks really promising and is definitely the future of healthcare. Can't wait for it to advance and start being mainstream.

What happens when you have thrm in your body and you die of old age? Will the body still decompose, do theyjust shut down or will they go in to the worms and bacteria that eat the body. Will all the affected bodies need to be cremated to stop any spread. Hhhmmmm😒

Destroy the health, er I mean cancer and illness industry? No way. Won't happen. The technology does exist, why do you think all the Rockefellers and important people in Government are still going strong well in to their 80's and even 90's and never die of cancer?

Then start counting all the people you know who've died from it.
Being wealthy shouldn't prevent cancer but seemingly it does.
Some technology is reserved for the elites only, the rest of us well, we hope - and not much change.

You're thinking "little robots", which these quite truthfully are not. They're hand-built little antibodies that are designed to look for markers on certain types of cancer. But no batteries, no little computers, no little grabby hands, no replication, nada.
