You're whining about being threatened with hellfire.
I simply posted a passage from the Bible.

If the shoe fits, wear it.
Don't shoot the messenger.

That's John 3:18. Has nothing to do with Paul.

As I said pseudo Paul. It do not matter to me who wrote it. It still rings untrue when I ponder these things in meditative state.

Namaste.

Whining?...no laughing really that people with a brain take the bible literally.
God doesn't have any religion nor book...they are tools of man.
So your god is a bastardisd version of god.
Lets face it no one knows and if they say they do they are delusional or after money....which one are you?.

Sigh...

Did you ever read about Jesus baptizing people with fire?

c'mon man...

Akragon since I am lazy can you tell me the exact reference? I want to see if there is any real information on where on the body he flowed the energy to increase the spiritual flow thru other peoples bodies.

Do I not hate them that hate thee, Oh Lord?

The old testament teaches to hate enemies, but Jesus said you have heard to do this but I tell you NOT to:

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" - Matthew 5:43-44

The only reference is when John the Baptist says that Jesus will baptize by the Holy Spirit, and by fire.

there ye go... theres at least two references

One in matthew and one in luke... google it hun...

Which, In any case creates a problem...

Either John was lying about it... or he meant it in a metaphorical sense

I wonder which

Because the Bible reflects a geocentric model.

The belief people held at the time those ancient texts were written.

Care to address Sheol, and Gehenna yet?

A Christian could be my enemy. A normal, unsaved person can also be my enemy. Sometimes a family member or loved one, or random person walking down the street can be my enemy.

A reprobate, false prophet is not simply my enemy. They hate God. They call Him a liar. They believe not the record that He gave of His Son. They are enemies of GOD.

Do I not hate them that hate thee, Oh Lord?

Obviously the Bible is metaphorical in some places. But when it isn't blatantly obvious, we're to take a literal translation.

Please provide for me scripture regarding your claim, that's one I've never heard of....

Yes, I'm familiar with the words. Just come out and say what you want to say. Why do you feel the need to "bait" me into it?

You are still ignoring that an enemy is an enemy and a distinction wasn't made in that "love your enemies" verse. You also ignored the part where Jesus said you were told to hate your enemies but I tell you not to.

"What I have experienced of the other side of the veil" against "your view of other people description of their experience". Talk to me when you have reached bliss state and we will compare experiences.

Obviously the fire he is referring to is metaphorical in that sense....

Zachariah 13:9
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

1 Peter 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Fire seems to be some sort of purification process...

Right...

the heart of the earth would be well known as a place with lots of fire and such... a place of purification

Now would you like to rethink the whole Jesus going to the center of the earth thing?

or would you prefer to remain in such ridiculous delusions...

Hell has a metaphorical meaning as well.... While Jesus was on the cross he was in a place where God was not with him

Hell is exactly that... a place where God is not...

Which I still disagree with because as I've said a loving creator would not torture his children... or be absent from them

but at the very least it makes a little sense...

Was God speaking the universe into existence metaphorical?
Was people living for 900 years metaphorical?
Were the plagues and subsequent leading of the people out of Egypt metaphorical?
Were the laws, ordinances, and commandments that people had to follow metaphorical?
The Kings that ruled over the people, and the Chronicles of the kingdoms, were those all metaphorical?
The story of Job. Metaphorical?
The major and minor prophets, and their fulfilled prophecies. Those were all metaphorical, huh?
The story of Jesus Christ? His death, burial, and resurrection, and the Gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation!?

Let me guess, that must have been metaphorical too.

Where does it end? You either believe the Bible and call on the name of the Lord to grant you eternal life, or you don't.
