I really think I was born in the wrong time I am a bit of a modern hippy and love the music of the time and other things that were around to expand
the mind.
So you ole hippies tell me your tales and share your Hippy music.
I will start off.
When I visit SF I will just wear flowers in my hair...nowt else lol .
I wasnt around either back then, but sometimes I wish I was, A much simpiler existence, with a alot of sharing. LOL And I Dont mean sharing a coke. It
was a time of love, experimental drugs, and the BEST Music ever made, nothing comes close to the music that was made in the late 60's through the
70's.
Hey You weren't in that synchronicity thread were You? I just was watching the documentary 'Woodstock' on t.v. last night and was wondering where
ALL these folks are now? It was rated 4 stars and rightfully so.
They got most of the 'greats' and even have Jerry Garcia 'spinning a number' ...
You'd love it. I'd bet that it is available online somewhere.. It was on the t.v. channel Paladium™ (#369 on Dish)
If You don't get a chance to view it: SPOILER ALERT *** SPOILER ALERT *** The 'hippies' were right.
They were all right, they were mostly friendly and not influenced much by consumerism. They were a threat to our Economy and had to be discredited at
the time.
I kind of liked their mellowness. I belong to a coop now and see these kind of people there a lot. They still exist, but now they have evolved into
a being called an organic health nut. Some have turned into small sustainable community farmers also. They hang around at farmers markets.
Sorry, but they aren't called hippies or Flower Children anymore. Another thing, many Hippies in the sixties did not do drugs often, they weren't all
high all the time like we were led to believe.
