I know exactly what an agnostic is my friend!

Someone who doesn't claim to know either way...
Such as the op's context put across...

The OP never once said "I believe there is no God"... Which would be atheistic!

The OP said
And that's not an atheist!

Atheist Is Iack of belief in a god. That is the only accurate definition of atheist.

It is not anti-god.

It is not saying there is no god or that there is proof there is no god.

As an atheist I can talk about the concept of god, of how people choose to perceive god, etc etc. That does not make me "agnostic" in your concept of "agnostic". I am still atheist, actually agnostic atheist. No one can prove or disprove god.

"So it seems that although you are correct in your logical reasoning that God loves you, you and He are at an impasse because you cannot believe.
This means you cannot be reconciled to a perfect God no matter how much He loves you, and make no mistake, He does.”

This is not correct. The creator God is not at an impasse because someone is not perfect.Mankind is not perfect because…that is the way the creator God created them. The Greek word teleios that is translated perfect means brought to an end ,matured…that is a process not an event.Man is being “conceived and is not perfected and has fallen short of the mark (the definition of sin). These are all very easily discovered words yet the religious carnal mind wants to pervert them into their own meanings.

Belief is the state that ALL of mankind is in so they can ONLY believe. They can NOT “know” the creator God unless the creator God reveals themselves.Belief is the antithesis of knowing.ALL of mankind WILL know the creator God when they LIVE in the realm of LIFE(Spirit) the Kingdom of the Creator God however for now in this “age” (world or realm) man lives in the material physical realm(the valley of the shadow of death) where EVERYTHING dies. That is the “spirit of man”

This impasse that you mention is a mere trifle.
As you agree, your God loves me, and I do not take that lightly.
As you acknowledge the perfection of your God,
I acknowledge the love of my family.
And you and I, ketsuko, are children of the same Father.

Yes ....you are correct. The impasse of another kind will be a trifle. You are very fortunate you do NOT believe in a “false” God that the ‘religious-religions” do.It is FAR better to believe in no God than a false one.If the “perfect” creator God wanted you to “know” them …you would. The “God” that EVERYONE believes in(no matter the name of religion) is Not the truth at all. It is only the “my God” of their Belief System religion”.

The creator God has chosen to not reveal themselves in ANY religion of ANY form(THANK GOD!!!).Mans “Belief System religioN” is just them “acting according to their nature.Their belief runs the gamut from silence to zealous preaching of hell fire damnation by their “Loving perfect “ God.

Where you have gone astray is “believing” that some how God must love you because you love your children etc etc or any act..that is not true at all.The love of the creator God is not a feeling or an emotion it is a state of being of their nature and character. They could not “be” anything but. ..in other words the creator God does not have any reason to love you they are the source of it and everything else….you will truly be blessed if you get to “skip” the belief in “God” stage.. the creator God can ONLY be known.

It figures, there's a website: Virtual Atheist: www.virtualatheist.com...

I consider myself a Spiritual Atheist: they also have a website: www.spiritualatheism.com...

Non atheists have trouble understanding the difference between "atheist" and individual "atheist philosophy".

Nothing came through, unless it was via 'thought' ? I certainly wouldn't type the above unless I was 'aware' of a "place" where 'thought' is "real" and the 'physical' is the "illusion"...

"The Tao that can be told is NOT the Eternal Tao..." You want to to know why I think that is? The last "Life" is the one 'most' are familiar with, by the 'time' , not relative because there will be no "time", You learn ALL the lessons You're supposed to learn, it is then when You've "earned" the right to meld into "ALL that there is..."

That almost reads like how this low bidding carpenter from B'Ham used to talk with Us. He was pissed that the "Bosses" were stuffing their pockets with riches and ERECTing (pun intended; definition of Yang..) instead of taking care of the people. He finally cut it down to "You ARE the Church.."

I agree completely with these words. So many are convinced of the virtue of their beliefs, but at the same time, many are deluded. I try not to chain myself to dogma. I am quite willing to be convinced of the truth of one's faith.

But alas, I have yet to see beyond the veil.

I did not know that; I am virtually surprised.
I am not surprised that you would be a Spiritual Atheist.
The human spirit is the realm of mysteries that await our discovery.
But to me these mysteries belong to Nature.
I can imagine no God beyond the reality of Nature.

Nothing like a strenuous workout in the JimNasium to get the blood flowing!

Let's start here for fun.

"That almost reads like how this low bidding carpenter from B'Ham used to talk with Us."

At first I thought you were talking about Birmingham.
Lord knows "There ain't no ham like Birmingham!

Then I realized that you were talking about Bethlehem
My mind was in a state of bedlam (get it?)

Anyway, let me get serious here.
Since Jesus drove the moneychangers from the Temple,
What did he say when they set up shop on Wall Street?

I trust in the Jesus of the masses.
After all he catered a feast of fish and bread.
He also turned water into wine.

Our task is to turn tribulation into compassion.

God awaits our enlightenment.

Hello

Actually I believe everything is energy. That energy evolved into consciousness. That consciousness is creative thought.

(A plethora of creation over billions of years, many worlds, many realms)

Nature definitely in the category of beautiful thought creation.

Ecstasy is the separation of mind from the body.

To look down and see ourselves is to truly appreciate our place in the universe.

Perhaps we see what God sees.

As a scientist, how can you love everyone without having met them? What vulgar data have you amassed that shows everyone is deserved of it, and by what mechanism besides vanity can one truthfully claim that he loves everyone?

"As a scientist, how can you love everyone without having met them?"

Everyone is deserving of love and respect until their actions prove otherwise.

Many fallen souls are prodigal children.

With true remorse, they can possibly atone for the damage.

"if even atoms are comprised of multiple parts, then why just one god? four fundamental forces, because no one force can get the job done."

By my logic a true God would be the sole God.

If the true God is omniscient and omnipresent, then any other god
would lie within the mind and space of the true God.

If God is true, then I believe that not one soul has yet to perceive His image.

We humans cannot yet perceive the image of perfection.

Hello Charlie,

"I think your agnostic... Not an atheist..."

Well, you are right, except where you are wrong.

This really is a matter of apples and oranges.

(A)theism is a belief (or lack) in a god.

(A)gnosticism is the knowledge (or lack) that supports one's position.

I would call myself an agnostic atheist because I have no persuasive evidence.

I am not a gnostic atheist because no true scientist will declare that there is no god.

The way I see it, to claim to hold the truth is an admission of folly.

To me the signs of the Lord are wisdom, compassion, humanity, and grace.

No blessing could be more greatly appreciated.

"You don't sound like an atheist at all. Actually sounds like you're on the right track, if you just lose the "science is the end-all-be-all of existence" tired motif (or what appears to be).
I think some atheists just like to call themselves atheists..."

Actually I would prefer to call myself a child of the earth. That makes me your brother.

And if your God is real, then nature is the realm of God,
and science is the foundation of God's majesty.

Science is the universal truth of reality.
Science is a mystery that we continue to discover.

If your God scorns true science, then your God is false.

I do not believe in your God.
I do not believe in any god.
I do not claim that God does not exist.
No true scientist would make such a claim.

I am sure, though, that any true God is a perfect God.
This God would be perfect in grace, compassion, and love.
I would be a child of this Father, your Father.

I am far from perfect; I am lazy, conceited, and selfish,
but I am not an evil soul.

God would love me because I love my brothers and sisters.
All of you.

There is no "your God", it is "our" Creator. We were all created by the one and the same God and without Him you wouldn't love your brothers and sisters. It makes me wonder, aren't you just lying a little bit?
