Believe it or not, from what my friend who is from Ferguson said, his family who lives a few blocks away from this is pretty much staying off the streets. There were a few pictures of concrete dividers that I saw last night on a few twitter feeds. The command center and the concrete blocks are to keep the area where people are congregating from spreading into the rest of the town. Could explain why the National Guard is at the "command center". This one family is happy about that. He also said that the pastors and whatnot in town (like the woman earlier) are helping in keeping people together, calm and more. Most of the residents, he said, go in at night and respected the curfew (and even still function as if there is a curfew).
