I guess what I am trying to say, is the media will accelerate this, people in the hills will believe it, and everyone will jump on the bandwagon. America has a lot of media, but the rest of the world can't manage to hold an erection. LOL

Yeah I'm good with that Aqualung. But me thinks that yes we First Worlders have The Best Medical Science on The Planet. But even in our Great Rich Western Countries there are large numbers of people who can't afford medical treatment to this day, even with The ACA., NHS etc.
That's where it's possible for people to fall through the cracks and we can end up with a lot of The Poorer Folks in our societies becoming infected and by so doing, we as people suddenly finding out how inter connected we really are and how much empathy that we should have for every member of our respective societies and our Brothers and Sisters in The World in general.

Okay, point taken. But what I'm seeing on the MSM is denials of contagiousness, downplaying of risk, and general mollycoddling of the masses. Compared to the H1N1 outbreak, they're positively gleeful about our prognosis for this disease. So I really don't see the "fear-for-profit" angle yet. It might come, I admit, but I'm seeing more denials than hyper-anxiety about it. Which concerns me; doom-porn usually means they have a drug to sell; doom-denial usually means they have an agenda to spread it.

All of the sudden America will be shocked. The best and brightest are interacting with Asia because western countries steal. Asian countries encourage my business. Western workers (I'm one) are better, but gov't suffocates you. East is open for business.

G'Day Ozwest, Well, I've been about this "Rock" we call home a bit and I Agree, though it is more pronounced here in The US, it also quite prevalent in a lot of societies. Let's face it would be quite ironic if we were all wiped out both "Rich & Poor" by the mean spiritedness of those who go by the "Well it's over there, it's just Africans or Asians or Whoever" (withholding The Best Treatments until it reaches The Really Important People).

In other words it not effecting us, so sod the rest of em mentality. That's my point. We are all equal and here for a reason and every one of us should be treated as if we are All as Loved and we should be.

Dude, I'm not trying to argue that one hemisphere is "better" or "more moral" than the other. Mao killed 40 million of his own people based on well-intentioned mistakes. ALL humans in power steal, lie, and oppress for their own profit. Just because they offer you "three cups of tea" where you do your business, does not mean that the first-world country you return to will have the 100% effective protocols in place to protect you from infection (even less, the third-world countries you are flying out of). That's exactly how infectious diseases spread; the attitude that "it can't happen to me because XYZ."

They first inoculated a number of piglets with the Zaire strain of the Ebola virus. Ebola-Zaire is the deadliest strain, with mortality rates up to 90 percent. The piglets were then placed in a room with four cynomolgus macaques, a species of monkey commonly used in laboratories. The animals were separated by wire cages to prevent direct contact between the species.

Within a few days, the inoculated piglets showed clinical signs of infection indicative of Ebola infection.

So basically if a person with Ebola sneezes of coughs around you , you can get it now.
With a 90 percent fatality rate, if I was a doctor or nurse, I would quit my job right about now, that is if I worked in Africa.

Seriously, I have sore throat, difficulty breathing, caughing and indigestion as well...
Most of my friends are sick, running nose including the damn nose-bleeds can be spotted very often.
On the tube people are sneezing or look unusually tipsy and tired ...
Can anyone from London confirm this?!

I am not saying "this is ebola" .. But still, its strange as this is mid-summer and weather in the UK is rarely nice.
