These are the same people who want to digitize our medical records and are pushing for every one to do everything on-line!? I'm sorry, I can't get behind that.

The IRS keeps wanting more and more of my money and they can't even keep records straight?

Ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s crashed hard drive has been recycled, making it likely the lost emails of the lightening rod in the tea party targeting controversy will never be found, according to multiple sources.
“We’ve been informed that the hard drive has been thrown away,” said Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the top Republican on the Finance Committee, in a brief hallway interview.

Since when are emails kept on a single hard drive?

That's what I was wondering as well. Why don't they seize all the computers of those she closely works with? Wait they have...and there is enough evidence on those that implicate her.

That's too bad. So unfortunate.

So convenient.

The inference of guilt is within the elimination of evidence. Her emails are not all that has been lost in this case... Others involved are also "lost"... Perhaps irretrievably.

In the court of public opinion, it should be clear that these coincidental items inferr guilt.

Any email goes through a central location. It's all retrievable. It may take some time, but it's retrievable. Whether .gov, .mil, gmail. yahoo or even AOL. (Is that one even still around?)

pretty sure they are bound by law to keep hard copies in case of a computer breakdown and or breach.

so they are breaking law regardless.

This cover up is so obvious that people have to wonder what's the point of it. There is no possible way that a simple computer crash erased every copy of those emails. Not to mention the selected loss of certain emails, and not others. Either they're all gone, or none are gone. Further, those emails should not only be stored on the sender and recipient's computers, but on every server those computers are attached to.

All this cover up means is that the contents of those emails are more damning than the obvious cover up. Eventually those emails will turn up. Like I said, there are way too many servers and other potential recipients for them to be lost forever.

We already know the IRS stole the Election.

For a big bonus.

These Bureaucrats were so drunk with power the decided who should be President.

Now they have destroyed most of the evidence.

They delay, refuse, take the 5th and if all that fails scream racism.

Our Founders would hang these people, because they wouldn't waste a bullet.

Can't we just consider the IRS targeting political groups a national security emergency and just have the NSA look this # up?

That's the world we live in: Administration officials can destroy evidence in full view of the public, and not a finger lifted in response.

They aren't. It's a lie, one the MSM won't challenge.

I thought emails are stored on a server not a hard drive?

This is such an outrage.

Obviously, the end result penalties for destroying are easier to swallow than exposing the real names involved in this massive debacle coverup.

They are protecting somebody.

Somebody very big and very wicked.

The guillotine blade is being cranked up towards the top now.

Waiting for the "release"......

They are. That's why this is obviously a coverup.

The IRS is lying bigtime.

Lois Lerner was not some low level employee playing crossword puzzles all day long.

If the IRS truly got rid of evidence in a way that violated the Federal Records Act and ensured the FBI never got a crack at recovering files from an official claiming a Fifth amendment protection against self-incrimination, this is proof their whole line about "losing" e-mails in the targeting scandal was just one more attempted deception. Old and useless binders of information are still stored and maintained on federal agency shelves; official records, like the e-mails of a prominent official, don't just disappear without a trace unless that was the intention.

LIES!
Like I said in the other thread, "if Your financial records of what you owe to the banks can NEVER be lost, neither can some random e-mails".
Why not just ask the NSA for a copy??
They copy EVERYTHING!
Lies, lies and more lies.

I will link an article that says, according to the IRS Manual, the emails would have been stored externally on a Microsoft platform.

Primer for the big defense in the IRS scandal.

Link

A progressive site has finally reported on this.

Their reasoning?

Stuff happens.
And Bush did worse.

No where is there an address of the central issue as to why the IRS targeted conservative groups.
No where is there an address as to why Lerner pleaded the 5th.
No where is there an address as to why only those being investigated have "lost" their email.

Let's not let the progressive machine misdirect the central message.
Let's not turn the discussion to Bush.

The message is now out there for all their followers to obey.

In the article that you link, they actually reference the missing 18 minutes of recording in the Nixon Administration's Oval Office....
That is supposed to give Obama an excuse?
The missing 18 minutes was a very big deal in the Watergate Scandal, and was part of the reason that Nixon was going to be impeached.... had he not resigned from office.
What were they thinking, using that for an excuse? Just goes to show how far they will go with those partisan blinders over their eyes.

Apparently, when their ideology is corrupt, it's okay.

When a conservative administration is corrupt, they squeal like teenage girls at a Twilight Film Festival!

It'll be interesting in 2016. We'll probably get bland GOP president ____________ .

Then they'll be screaming about corruption again.
