The spoken language sounds very similar to Russian and the video was unmarked but yes it was Ukraine.

I still stand by my remark about Russian pilots though. They just like to do this kind of stunts at 30k feet and when there are foreigners in near by aircraft to watch.

That's not the APU. It's a power transfer unit to start the engine turning.

Most people do. There have been many arguments about what it was over several sites. The APU vents upward, near the left wing root.

This is the F-22 version of the Jet Fuel Starter used on earlier aircraft. This is somewhat more efficient from what i hear. And you don't get to hand crank it if it fails either, I don't think, unlike the JFS.

I just used to be glad I didn't have to do it. It required a 1 inch breaker bar, and 200 cranks.

Thought some of you might enjoy this video. A danish F-16 shooting a drone and flares over the North Sea. The missile movement at the 45-46 second mark is incredible
