In honor of winning their record setting 6th Raytheon Trophy last year, the 67th Fighter Squadron from Kadena Air Base, in the new time honored tradition of fighter pilots everywhere, took their GoPro cameras to the skies with them.

The video includes ACT over Okinawa, low level flying in Alaska (and by low, I mean "LOOK OUT! A MOOSE!" altitudes), as well as the Middle East. The low level in the ME isn't bad, but the Alaska low level is dramamine worthy.

So what do you tell your xo when he asks how your jet managed to get a full beard of dead mosquitos? That's low...

15 minutes of AC-130 goodness. Interesting at the end when the AC was in contact with the KC-135 you can hear him saying he was firewalled. Presumably trying to keep up with the KC.

Has anyone seen any video of the laser equipped AC-130. I have a good friend who's uncle worked high up on that project who told him it was pretty much ready to go, if not coming soon.

The only video I've seen with a laser on an C-130 platform was the Advanced Tactical Laser and even then it only had a video of it burning the hood of a truck. I haven't seen any video or heard any more about their plans on putting a laser on an AC-130.

Great video BTW on the F-15s. The venerable Eagle in the right hands can still be a formidable opponent, especially when equipped with JHMCS, AIM-9X, AIM-120D and the latest AESA radar.

Anyone heard of a recent crash at Groom? Or is the attached video just a lightning fire?

With the weather the day of that filming (unstable atmosphere, rain at the end), lightning strike seems the most plausible explanation. No other activity was visible in the area as well. If a test article had gone down with fire that fresh, there should have been several helicopters in the area attending to the crash site.
To bad the guy filming didn't have a radio scanner.
