Yesterday a hearing was held in Europen Parliament about the Odessa Massacre. Eyewitnesses of the tragic events were asking for creating an independent commission to investigate. However, most of the audience simply ignored them. Some do not even have to wear headphones with translation, others defiantly studied their phones, third part was smiling while listening to the terrible details. As it turned out, the hearing was attended by only 15 MEPs, and the rest - euromaidan activists, who clearly did not accept the testimonies of eyewitnesses.

However, several MEPs nevertheless reported the desire to come to Ukraine to try to understand what happened.

Two women were interested:

“It is absolutely necessary to carry out an independent investigation. The European Parliament could have taken part in it, if it were not blind to the situation in Ukraine where women and children continue dying and were cities are being bombarded right at Europe’s doorstep,” Marine Le Pen told journalists at the European Parliament residence in Brussels. Euromaidan’s supporter Rebecca Harms, the leader of the “Greens” faction in the European Parliament, also called for an independent international investigation into the May 2 events in Odessa and into the current situation in Donetsk and Lugansk in the east of Ukraine.

The commission to investigate the tragedy in the House of Trade Unions disbanded in Odessa.
