Hopefully they arrest that Cliven Bundy and get those cattle out of there.

No better than a tax-dodger and well deserving of some prison time.

You speak like a true government agent.
If you've never dealt with this gargantuan bureaucrazy you have no idea of what it entails to have these people swoop down on you with pounds and pounds of new "regulations" imposed from "on high" at the whim of the latest regulator. Legal, signed contracts mean nothing to the power-hungry regulators.
I was talking with a relative who runs ranching operation and deals with the US Forest Service and BLM. They send out contradictory instructions on how to "manage" the lands he leases---lands by the way, that his grandfather purchased, only to have them "reclaimed" by the feds in the 1990s. When the lands were "reclaimed" he was given signed contracts outlining that he could use the surface lands as they had been used historically as long as the ranch continued to operate. But when his father passed he got a notice saying that the contract would need to be re-written because the ranch no longer existed. The ranching operation was passed down, never went out of existence, same name, same address, same cattle---the actual pass down had happened five years prior to the death of the father. But USFS and BLM began harassing him by sending him conflicting orders---build a fence around that pond---that fence around your pond is illegal so must be removed---ad nauseam!! Had his daughter not been an attorney, he would have given up that grazing land long ago due to the costs of compliance vs. cost of legal representation.
So, until you've dealt with these goons and thugs, you have no idea what food producers are facing when trying to provide food for the nation and make a living for their family.

If you think the BLM, NSA, TSA, DHS, FBI and ATF are stupid and don't anticipate each and every movement; I suggest you do a little research not be naive and get yourself into something you might regret.

edit on 14-4-2014 by olaru12 because: (no reason given)

They don't anticipate every move...They make errors just as much as anyone else....in fact law enforcement in general is a trap.

There are infinite scenarios that the public could do against them to get them sued. LEO is a very difficult if not impossible career to be in. Ill give ATS lawsuit idea number 1.....

Get yourself arrested...most cops will properly cuff you and escort you at all times..however some will tell you to walk somewhere on your own (without helping you)...if you trip and fall while walking somewhere on your own and have no hands to stop yourself from hitting the ground...well ....welcome yourself to some money. There are a million scenarios like this.

There is more than one way to fight back. Im not advocating this but I can guarantee these guys are not trained like you think...in fact most feds dont know 1/2 the job a street cop knows. Id honestly be more worried if they sent Chicago PD or NYPD down there.

I literally once watched a federal agent illegally enter a house...after asking him wtf he was doing he said it was in his right...He didnt know the law...been on the job for years but really hadn't been in the field that much. BLM...they are f'ing park rangers...sure many are vets..those are the ones that know their #. Youd be amazed at how inexperienced these guys are...just completely amazed.

I wouldnt doubt they pulled them out out of fear one of em would do something stupid.

Edit: The only people trained in open field combat is the military and maybe some swat teams...most swat is focused on urban training. And even the the agents that do get the training..they all go out...run through a few scenarios...eat pizza for lunch and smile that have a training day instead of a work day so they can slack off...ill wager they dont have the motivation the public has.
edit on 14-4-2014 by cosmicexplorer because: (no reason given)

Edit 2: While im fired up ill share another story at a wedding...I have several friends in about every alphabet agency you can think of...we went to share some stories around the table at a wedding....After hearing their best....absolute best stories...I thought to myself...I do that once a week...(when I was a street cop)...their best moments in years behind a desk involved them one time going on some raid where they got to carry a shotgun...or maybe one of the swat guys let them fire a submachine gun on the range lol...these guys were hired for their degree, integrity, and much more...but they don't have the battle experience.
edit on 14-4-2014 by cosmicexplorer because: Because im in a editing mood

so what you're saying is that if i can't find a job, i could make money as a professional detainee?

Step 1: throw brick at a cop car
Step 2: get arrested
Step 3: hurt myself while nobody's looking
Step 4: profit?

if it's this easy, why in the hell would anyone bother with unemployment or welfare? lol

Just ran across a report from Ben Swann interviewing sheriff who says Feds are planning to raid home. Sounds like the sheriff is on Bundy's side.

According to Mack, the so-called retreat was nothing more than theatrics. “It was a ploy to get people to back off, to get people out of the way. They weren’t expecting us to get this amount of people here. They were surprised by the numbers and so they wanted a way to get us out of here. This was a ploy to get us out of here and then they’re going after the Bundys.” Mack said that when he was at the Bundy ranch on Saturday there were an estimated 600 to 800 protesters present when federal agents were releasing the cattle.

obviously you are unaware of how many lawsuits there are ..and how many settle...you think they advertise this? Id wager that at any given time almost every department is in the middle of some lawsuit.

Edit: once again im not advocating to make up false reports for lawsuits...im just saying there could be other ways to fight back.

This should get interesting. As another poster or two have said, I seriously doubt the militia will do squat.

In the link I provided in my last post on this thread, they indicated that militia members were being pulled over before they made it to Bundy's Ranch. They claim that their legal guns were being confiscated. They can't do much without their guns.

If they were pulled over for no legal reason and the cops started taking their weapons, why did they not right then and there open fire on the jbt's? Violating the 2nd and confiscating guns is much more of a cause to open fire than a land grab. (which is also a justified reason) These guys now know the cops are taking them, so I fully expect it to be open season, if they were serious, which it wont. I am not trying to down these true patriots but as far as I am concerned they are just blowing smoke.

The police don't blow smoke as history shows, they act.

Also what you are missing...and I wouldnt expect you to know this is...cops have procedures that they should be doing...but many are not trained well...many...id wager 50% of the cops are lacking in some serious training...but yes..if you indeed fell while cuffed with your hands behind your back and got hurt and could show damages...you are damn right you could sue...(disclaimer im not an attorney).

Thanks! I look forward to the day when criminals get their due. Especially ones that are wrong from the get-go.

Cliven Bundy has been breaking the law and really doesn't have any right to graze on those lands. Our lands. I also look forward to all of those 'patriots' getting arrested for bringing their weapons across state lines for the express purpose of using them 'if needed'.

I'm predicting this will happen. I'm predicting it because it needs to happen.

Have you ever broke the law? I bet right now I can find a pirated something on your computer....should you have an army of feds coming into your home and land armed fairly well? Come on they totally over reacted there...if you dont see that then...good luck when its you.

Could build a home with those bricks!

Sorry just fired up about all this #...I hated the LE profession...I can't believe how awkward it was at times in briefings when I was the only college educated guy in the department and id look up and say "we are gonna do what?"

And my administrators looked at me and then told me I wasnt a team player lol....I can name 3 occasions this happened..and 3 occasions it ended in a lawsuit or the judge threw out everything they did stating in a private room... "you guys cant do that"...unbeknownst to joe citizen..they could have sued.

I think you very well could make a living off it....but youd have to learn a bit about law first..and its such a sleazy way to make money...im more thinking if a revolution occurred and I was on the side of revoltees...id be playing pretty dirty.

However im choosing to run...leave the country...watch from a distance while I drink margaritas on the beach....I got friends on both sides...hope they all live.

From what I have gathered, correct me if I am wrong, but this land was in his family way before the BLM or any other of these laws. As far as letting his private cattle graze on public land, did a citizen want to hike the land and complain that the cattle bothered them? Public means public, he can use it, and so can everyone else.

I dont know if this has been posted, if so I missed it....then pardon.

This is coming from Ben Swann, well respected here on ATS.

Sources Inside The BLM and Las Vegas Metro Say Feds Are Planning A Raid On Bundy Home

Despite major media reports that the Nevada Bureau of Land Management is retreating, the remaining activity that still surrounds the ranch illustrates a different scenario.

Not only is the BLM not actually backing off of Cliven Bundy, Sheriff Richard Mack of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association has revealed stunning information: on Ben Swann’s radio program, Mack said that he has received intelligence from multiple, credible sources inside the BLM and the Las Vegas Metro that there is “no question” that the federal government is planning a raid on the Bundy home and the homes of their children who live on the property.

According to Mack, the so-called retreat was nothing more than theatrics...

Video at the link, with Mack on the radio with Swann.

Swann had an interview scheduled with Cliven Bundy today,
now it shows cancelled.
