Well said.
I have heard that Julie Bishop's stare can peel the skin off a tomato.

It would not be so much about economics as geopolitics and terrorism. The US is starting to gird its loins against China and Russia and expects Australia to follow suit.

Many extremist groups in SEA making many multinationals uncomfortable.

My grandpa was a pilot, my exs dad is a pilot, from what they said debris of all sorts of varieties can float for days, possibly weeks. Think really hard? Some items do not sink, at all.

Makes sense, as I'm sure most of the aircraft is designed to be as lightweight as possible.
I suppose only time will tell.

I really hope they found that plane. It would be nice to see that the friends and family of the crew and passengers get closure.

I wonder how long it will take to confirm.

Anyone with a recorder recording this press conference on ABC Australia?

Would be good if someone was.

I wonder where it was heading if this turns out to be the plane. It seems odd for a plane to be intentionally flown so far off course to just crash in the ocean. Unless shot down. I suppose there could be a lot of different explanations. I've got a feeling this isn't the plane though.

Pretty weird last night I was trying to find where valentich's oil slicks where located from the report.
The GPS coordinates put me in that position of the suspected wreckage.

Here is the real location of the oil slick they found in the valentich disappearance

-39° 11' 23.9994",+144° 0' 35.9994"

I was try to recreate it but couldn't, but I found what I was after a exact location of his disappearance..

3,200km off the south of WA, not sure how far the wreckage ( floatable items ) could reach in 12 days depending of currents and wind direction, but I spend approx 20 hours a week fishing 20-30 km off Perth and I will be paying closer attention to anything I spot in the water.

I hope for some closer for the families and friends.
