I spotted the irrationality and rolled my eyes after the OP's third reply to you. I'm suprised you lasted this long !!

It is jaw dropping how gullable some people are especially when you research the history of Sitchin and his Nibiru.

This will not end until the comet has gone with a whimper, just like all the ones before.......what was the last end of world Nibiru event......hmmm......oh yes Elenin!!

I think the misinformation and fear mongering is way worse with ISON than it ever was with Elenin.

I amazed at the willingness to ignore every bit of evidence and documentation, from even the most reliable of sources, in favor of youtube guy and his theories.

If you don't agree with youtube guy... you are ignorant and probably a shill for NASA.

If you dispute youtube guy with any evidence contrary to his theories..... you are "attacking" those that don't agree.

Sadly it wont end there, just put on the back burner till the next comet comes along. IMHO some are bordering on lunacy like the heaven's gate group that offed themselves during halebop.

So fringe topics are automatically incorrect because they aren't mainstream? Or are they just politically incorrect to you?

The reason i ask is because your wording implies that you think they are wrong. Which is fine by opinion's sake...but humanity doesn't know everything that goes on in the universe. Besides, even if the leaders and officials like NASA do...they wouldn't tell us anyway.

Nor are they automatically correct because they are outside of the mainstream. Funny thing is how the standards of evidence differ between the two for true believers - unsupported claims of the extraordinary always trump scientifically supported descriptions of the conventional.

The OP is stating a poorly supported personal belief, not an Earth shattering truth.

Right. And my mind is open enough not to blindly accept the information in the OP -- nor would I blindly accept what any one professional astronomer tells me.

Th proper thing to do is to take all of the information being presented, sort it out, educate myself on comets, the STEREO solar observatory spacecraft, and then draw my own conclusions based on that. When I draw a conclusion about the information in the OP, I find the evidence presented to be lacking.

Thanks goodness my mind is open enough not to blindly believe what the guy in the OP's video is telling me. I feel sorry for people who are so closed-minded that they automatically believe alternative news simply because it is "alternative", as if being alternative makes it likely to be true.

If it does become clearly visible to the naked eye, it's more like that it will hang in the sky for days or weeks (like Hale-Bopp did) rather than "fly by"...

...But yeah, I agree.

Let's see Nibiru, Annunaki and fringe topics are being discussed on a conspiracy forum which asks people to deny ignorance. Yet in the case of Sitchin and other debunked Ancient Astronaut profiteers we're told by the woo woo crowd that we should just shut up and look at the shoddy 'evidence' regardless of merit.

Unfortunately, there will always be bright comets and ignorant people. There will always be hucksters who pedal psuedo-science and doom porn to willing takers.

So when the next bright comet comes around it too will be "strange" and "making course corrections" or have "a companion".

One can only hope that each time the doom porn doesn't pan out, these people lose more followers. But they're usually replaced with other people who distrust science they don't understand to the point of believing any nonsense simply because it's "alternative" or "fringe".

Let's just hope it doesn't end with anyone in Nike shoes drinking poison.

Considering NASA and other privately funded space pioneers are seriously proposing and planning that Humans will be doing EXACTLY this - steering a comet or an asteroid into a Lunar orbit, parking it there and then setting about stripping it of anything of value - seems to indicate very strongly that any sufficiently advanced ETI can and probably has already 'steered a comet' (steered is simplistic of course, fitting engines and 'flying a comet' would be more accurate i suppose).

'Comet steering' (or flying) technology is not a factor in the ETI 'steering a comet' equation..the fact there are estimated to be billions of Earth type planets of myriad ages existing in our small, rather unremarkable galaxy ALONE...is.

The tech, the habitable worlds, the fact we have millions of species on our own small world (several highly intelligent species, and myriad extremophiles) makes laughing at the ETI directing space bodies laughably niave in and of itself.

As for NASA telling huge great whoppers from time to time? Why not, they're Human beings.

One thing we should all think about when deciding to trust what comes out of NASA is this;

$3.5 Billion Mars Curiosity price tag, very ambitious mission specs....only 2MP CCD chips on the rover! Really.

The tail of a comet, including ISON is a mix of small bits of dust, ice, and ionized gas. None of which pose a threat to the earth.

FYI: The Earth passes through denser material than this every year during the various meteor showers.

A much better animation from the previous one where was just nov21st. Encke is actually really closing in as you may notice that its getting bigger by the end of the animation. Whether or not it`s actually bigger than Ison and whether they`ll collide remains to be seen=)

From what I`ve seen so far, I must admit that I`m more inclined to Astrophysicist`s theory. The logs and reports on the website seem legit. Whether they really are, remains a mystery...

Oh if a comet were to hit the Earth it would be catastrophic. However, I don't see how anyone knows the trajectory of the comet after it goes round the sun to return to the direction of the Oort cloud when it's not even certain what would remain from the comet when it gets close enough to the sun.

I say if that doesn't happen in 2014 make that youtube account banned forever. Not that I mind some object getting close..
