Probably old news to those who are seasoned forum members but i did search and came up emptyhanded.
Anyway, this is one from the history books, a SR-71 mission with a engine problem had to do a emergency landing in bodø, Norway. Link includes
interviews, scanned slides and newspaper articles. Personally i found it very interesting because it gives a visual peek into the past but also
because it is in my "backyard" beeing norwegian and all.
I wish them well with that. If you haven't read "Sled Driver" yet, I suggest you do so. It's a first hand account by an SR-71 pilot that even
includes a lot of pictures he took while flying that are stunning to see.
It would be nice to see in maybe 20 - 30 years the photos of the F-117 prototype and development airframes that used RAF Lossiemouth as a staging area
and their photographs of training missions over Norway.
