Who is letting the children go hungry? first of all parents that uses them to ride the system, no all the millions of people that receive welfare are disable, sick and unable.

*GASP* you mean it is the responsibility of the parent to care for the child they created?????
You can't honestly suggest that, can you???

You must be one of those domestic terrorists the Govt has told me about.

Doesn't anyone hunt or fish anymore, grow a garden, can some goods, be prepared.

No, as the Govt provides for them and the Govt thinks it wise and prudent to subject people to fees to do such things.

The Govt created the problem and is here to solve the problem, go figure.

America has lost its back bone.

I noticed,

It is called a broken spirit.

yes. completely broken. NO NATION can withstand external forces trying to bring it down AND internal ones PILLAGING every penny that GENERATIONS struggled for.

AND I am sorry, but the USA can NOT HOUSE, FEED, or otherwise ACCOMODATE the POOR of the ENTIRE WORLD..
How many countries are there south of Mexico?
How many millions from Africa?
How many millions from China?
How many millions from India?

Can the American people who struggled for years to keep that meager house/farm compete with the HOARDES of IMMIGRANTS that are able to STEAL jobs for HALF the PAY because they get WELFARE?

Trust me I don't care anymore what I am call for, when telling the truth, see is ok to give a helping hand but darn do I have to give part of my hard earned income?, so some people can lie back in the lazy butts and do nothing?

That is what welfare has become.

people doesn't understand that what they get and think is free is because somebody else have work their butt off and pay taxes.

Nothing is free in America not for the working tax payer class.

so you would have us trade one evil for another...

everyone acts like the ACA, in it's entirety, is a great thing, and worth defending to the death...

it's not. granted, certain provisions of it are beneficial to some, and would have been completely passable on their own, if the congress had any balls.....

as a whole though, the bill, in it's entirety, is LOADED with bad stuff that would NEVER pass on it's own.....that's why we have massive, multi-thousand page omnibus bills like the ACA...it's the ONLY way to get draconian, or undesirable things passed, without the public really knowing about it....they load them up with a bunch of bad things, and then they tout the good things, to make the whole bill sound like rainbows and unicorns...then rarely, if ever, mention the absolutely horrible parts...and if anyone makes a big deal of the horrible bits, they turn on the media spin machine, and say everything's a conspiracy theory, because they know the average american hasn't read the bill in question, and is too stupid to go fact-check...or they spin it so as to make the person pointing out the truth look like an uncivilized brute, who hates women, children, the elderly, and clubs baby seals in their spare time...

as a whole, the ACA SHOULD have been rejected, and i really can't fault either party for trying to fight it's implementation...it's a bad piece of legislation....a turd with sprinkles...people only see the sprinkles right now...they don't realize that once they take the full bite, they won't wanna savor the flavor...

advocating giving up the fight, so we can turn the tap back on, isn't very bright....what you don't realize is that once the people fighting to defend this piece of crap get their way, the issue will never be revisited, and we'll be stuck with it....

to all those who think it's a great thing, how about you pay my non-compliance fine? since it's a good thing, and all...

People really need to start preparing for the day when the possibility of that free stuff is no longer there,

But that would require some forethought and a level of personal responsibility. We can't be having that now!

And thesaneone...I take it you have yet to care for an elderly parent or grandparent who because of arthritis or worse can't reach their backside. We all start out in diapers and many of us will you end up in them again too in old age. Now we are shaming them because of it?

i just gotta say....this is the spin i was talking about....

i didn't see him once mention old people....he's (as far as i can tell) talking about regular people between the ages of 18-55

people who are fully capable of going out there, and making things happen for themselves.....he's not shaming old people for being old....please stop that.

A DEPRESSION was GUARANTEED... reading history PROVES it.

A depression ALWAYS follows MASSIVE IMMIGRATION.. the RAPID wealth imbalance begins to snowball.

Landlords make a KILLING, the taxman makes a killing, the corps make a killing, ...

and that American Worker sees his old neighborhoods over crowded and ran down, pay keeps shrinking, etc..

UNTIL there are no jobs!..
1880's-1920's ---> MASSIVE IMMIGRATION
1970's-2000's ---> ENORMOUS MASSIVE IMMIGRATION..

the infrastructure is unable to bear the brunt of the overuse, and NEW infrastructure needs built. IF you were the ELites, would you rather pay a UNION American Worker (circa 1986) or a BROKEN American worker (circa NOW)?

Socialism was first now some wants to call it fascism, because many can never digest that socialism is alive and well in America.

no, it's probably got something to do with the fact that socialism, and fascism are two different things...one is not just a new name for the other...

you'd do well to read up on that..

I would love to just live off the fat of the land. It's too bad that I cannot afford a hunting license, cannot obtain a rifle legally, cannot afford a fishing license, cannot afford fishing gear. I work a full time job, I'm a single dad, I do not qualify for any government assistance, and after 1100 in rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in New Jersey, 1200 for my son's pre-pre-school, food and clothing and basic necessities the both of us, there isn't much left.

I wish I had food stamps.

start by skipping the pre-school, and getting a sitter......

pre-school is a scam, and the sitter is significantly cheaper...

secondly, you don't need a rifle to hunt, not that the federal government really has any business telling you you can't have one to begin with....

hunting licenses are also a scam...if you believe in god, the argument can be made that god put the little bastards on this planet, for us to eat....kinda like how we sprinkle food in a fish tank....government has no right to tell us we can't eat tasty animals...

oh no, absolutely not.....just check facebook, personal responsibility is COMPLETELY uncool....

check twitter #onlymoronsthinkforthemselves is trending like a motherf**ker....

we, unfortunately live in a time where the concept of personal responsibility is foreign to most people....the federal government has completely ruined at LEAST an entire generation of it's citizens, by getting them to believe that the role of the government is to care for them from cradle to grave....

absolutely disgusting..

Before I head out, I thought to send an email to Jessica Shahin. I linked the ZeroHedge story and asked if it was true. "If I get no reply from you I will assume it is true."

I doubt her job was in anyway hampered by sequestration. They keep their top dogs in the kennel even if they lay off others and shutdown their webpage.

Shot in the dark, but if I get the "official story", I will let you know.

I will love to see the food stamp and welfare stop for once, see if you are hungry how about getting a job to pay for food.

Because let faced it no everybody in welfare and food stamps are in those programs because they are disable and unable to work.

Most of the population in those programs are able and capable individuals that can get out in the streets and find a job.

Sorry, if I sound hard but that is the truth, I live in a welfare town and most of the people are healthy enough and big enough to get up and find a job, but is easier to sit and wait for the welfare money and food stamps that been productive members of society.

If I, my husband and two children can work so they can too.

Many people on food stamps work full time, sometimes 40 plus hours, 7 days a week. They do not make enough money to pay their bills, so instead of making a choice between putting food on the table and paying their utilities, mortgage, gas, medicine, health insurance, etc..., they apply for Snap benefits. There is nothing wrong or lazy about that. Sure, some people on Snap could work, but don't even try to find a job. Don't ASSume all people on Welfare are not productive members of society.

Obviously no one bothered to read the information I worked hard to provide for this thread...look on pages 5 and 6. I provided
1 . Proof the letter is authentic
2 . The letter is a technicality that had to be sent because of the shutdown
3 . Proof EBT is NOT going to end.

EBT is funded by the Recovery Act, also known as the Bail Out, until the end of Fiscal Year 2014.

Please read the information, and stop causing people to panic.

TANF will not get Federal funding, but TANF, TEMPORARY assistance for needy families, is mostly funded by the states.

TANF is nothing to do with food. Look it up. Please.

There was a planned scale back on EBT since 2009, it will be about 29 dollars for a family of 4. The minimum EBT is 16 dollars a month for one person, it will be reduced to 15 dollars, so a loss of ONE dollar.

Please educate yourself with the materials I provided...

The
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program (SNAP) will continue
operations and eligible households
will still receive monthly benefits for
October. The authority to make
October benefit payments comes from
the Recovery Act, through which
Congress provided “such sums as are
necessary” to finance the SNAP benefit
provided for in the Recovery Act. In
addition, about $2 billion in
contingency funding will be available
and could be used to support State
Administrative activities essential to
continue the program and issue and
process benefits. These contingency
funds were provided in the FY 2013
appropriation and do not expire until
the end of FY 2014.
