Just posting so I can come back later. Thanks SO!

I'm just looking forward to the new improved layout, still on a laptop but I like the way it looks and functions. Maybe on my next refresh.

The second post has been updated with two features that were forgotten at the time of posting.











Including the new Firehose/LIVE tools.

Oh man, someone is bound to blast me because this has to be a stupid question!

All this stuff shown in the OP? I don't have that.
My screen looks normal still.

Now, I do know I was sent, quite a while ago, a log in code for this new format.
But now, I cannot access any of my messages, so I cannot get to that.
The ribbon only shows the alert message.

I am also a bit bummed if my private messages are all wiped out, I was having a convo with someone;

Is there anything I can do???

Only those older than 30 days should be "missing."

Originally, that was the threshold, and when programming the new site I noticed it wasn't working properly.

There's well-over 10 million messages in the private message system. We'll likely provide temporary access to anything 6 months old once the dust settles.

Thanks for answering. Really. I've thought about this before, while saving like a glutton so many of my own, and thinking there were likely many doing exactly the same, and what storage space that must represent and stress on the system.

That's more than fair, I think, the 6 month rule, when dust settles. Again, thanks so much.

Welcome to ATS 5/3

I mostly don't like all the icons and the coloring of the new version. I personally much prefer text in my user interfaces rather than icons. And the coloring on the new version seems flat and low contrast.

However, I will secede that it probably has many benefits.

Nonetheless, mixing portable interfaces with desktops interfaces doesn't work well. I know the industry is trying to find a common codebase so they don't have separate codebases for everything, but it's not fun. Icons and big flat things are invading the internet.

I wish everybody well. I know they've been working very hard on all this. Please ignore me mostly. I refrain from all sorts of things. I don't play consoles. I'm old fashioned. Just because I have complaints, doesn't make this all wrong.

Truly funny in its synchronism....if nothing else. as soon as I asked. voila!!

the new version helps me relax better, like the colors and shapes of the icon etc.

I see some tweaks have been made, I like it..

FYI ATS Team, "recent posts" link at the bottom of pages is redirecting 404's......

I like it SO. Looks good, and seems very functional. But...

How do I change the text color of my signature? Anyone?

On most current version of FF, I get the same 404

I dont know what all the moaning was about, it looks fab now the bugs have been fixed, but ya cant please all the people all the time.. Thanks SO

Edit to add..WOW and it looks fantastic on my smart phone, so much easier to navigate...
