I like the way that medical care is done in some European countries. They pay higher taxes but medical care is socialized.

Religion aside, that is good policy.

I would think a healthier work force would increase productivity. And would promote quality of life and happiness.

Our infrastructure like roads, except for toll roads, is sort of a socialized system. You pay taxes at the pump. Roads are serviced. Why not for individual health care when its like a lottery of doom. Merely a way for the rich to have wealth transferred to them by the poor in this country, who often can't afford the bill.

It is thanks to capitalism that the middle class has jobs so they can pay income taxes that pays for all those social engineering programs, and that war.

Only one of those things introduces new wealth that creates jobs that creates wealth that sustains those programs

As social programs just redistribute already created wealth without introducing new wealth to replace
it.

Oh and for the record all the materials needed to make those things in this country come from thousands of business that employs millions of people who pay tax revenue that all pay for those programs.

Ultimately though this nation spends/ and has spent more on social programs than it ever has on 'war'. but then again :

You know if you live in the US and you want to test yourself to see how brainwashed you are. All you have to do is ask yourself the question that if you got sick (by something that actually needed treatment) so lets say a broken arm. Would you want a DR to help you for free or would you rather pay 20,000 dollars for it? What I find amazing is how half the people in the US would choose the 20k fee. Like what are you guys smoking down there. We get free healthcare up here. It is handy in case you need trauma care and you don't want a medial bill after that will bankrupt you. So what if some poor people get free healthcare. That's a GOOD THINg hello! They don't have a lot of money often times of no fault of there own. They were born into poverty and didn't have the same chances to get out of it. but they still should get basic care if they need it. For a modern nation you act so backwoodsy in a lot of areas. It's sad. But again most people are brainwashed in some way so I cna't blame you.

The healthcare system in America needs to be fixed. THAT'S not in debate. I think we can all agree with that.

But instead of looking at ways of decreasing costs, Obamacare is in place to continue paying for the HIGH costs, by wealth redistribution (taxes).

i dont like obama care, but i dont like the idea of people dying needlessly,

if it comes down to it, i dont like being forced to pay, but that is a symptom of a system that currently does not function for the majority of people.

insurance is the wrong way to go about fixing the problem,

people pay for roads because everyone uses them,
people should pay for hospitals because everybody will need one in their life time.

in my country we use taxes to build hospitals, like you do roads,

this removes the "overhead" of the bureaucracy and profit motive of insurance companies.

but knowing the USA as i do, this would never come to pass even though the cost savings would be huge.

so obama care is the next best option, because clearly health care is not going to change any other way.

i think it is heartless to ignore the poor because "i earn my own money"

if thats the case go build all the roads you use.

its true that society only happens when every works together,
why is 3 trillion on war ok but 1 trillion on health care a problem?

do you support war over the health of your fellow Americans?

children are innocents in that they never voted for any of these policies,
