What I love about Obama is people seemed shocked that a politician from Chicago would be this shifty..

What is shocking IMO is that far too many people still to this day,after everything that has happened(that was pushed back until after the election) the adminstration can still do no wrong.

They love crooks, when they are their kind of crooks as in the 'Chicago way'.

I'm not assigning fault....I'm saying maybe it has to do with "in country" human assets in Yemen, working with the CIA, to kill Al-Qaeda terrorists....maybe the AP reporters got ahold of those names, or other identifying elements, and Holder is trying to keep it from becoming public, so NOT TO GET THOSE ASSETS KILLED.....I know this is so hard for anyone here to believe, but, it just MIGHT BE for the right reasons.....using KISS and OCCUMS RAZOR methods of logic.

You have to understand that the elitist have been working towards bringing the U.S. into the folds of socialism/communism for last 75 + years and it is starting to look like they installed the wrong people to pull it off. Obama and his circus is starting to look like a big big fail. They have told so many lies and screwed up the country so bad that it won't be worth anything when and if they do succeed.

If I had to guess I would say its about Bengasi but if anyone from the government said anything you would not know if it was another lie or not.

My worst worry is how the people of America are taking this sort of thing in stride, everyday it is something new and more corrupt and yet there are no movements for recalls or impeachments. If we are waiting for the government to clean its own house we are bigger fools then I thought.

One thing we can be sure of is that this administration will go down hard and no doubt there will be something on the way to make this all look like nothing..............just my opinion.

well, when we are faced with EVERYTHING THAT OBAMA IS, AND DOES, IS WRONG....how can it be shocking!!!!... when someone actually defends him....the right-wing was coming out after his first 100 days in office and SAID PUBLICLY he has failed......gee.....no problem there right???....... I personally think he has done things that were wrong......and using "Chicago way" as some type of metaphor for black gangster crooks is somehow sanity based?.......you immediately lose credibility.

I'd like to know what the ATS community thinks was leaked. Maybe I missed the threads devoted to "What Was Leaked And Why Is It The Biggest Leak In Thirty Years?" What do you think it's all about.

I see all the talk about Holder and Obama but I must have missed the threads asking what the deuce was leaked in the first place. What could be so big?

Maybe I'm stoopid or something but how could he know its the biggest leak since my last tinkle after an all-night drinking binge if he "wasn't involved," and "doesn't know what went on..."?

I remember a defense briefing saying operations were being conducted within or around Yemen, then I put 2+2 together after researching that the US has deployed "assets" (what, I do not know) to help the government of Yemen......connecting dots in each of our forays in other hot spots of the middle east, there is intel gathering, spec. ops., drone fly-overs...and...AP has a sizable middle east presence....it's not hard to assume that AP got a hold of some reports on US operations there....and with that....this present administration does not want to have any "assets" domestic or foreign killed because of some AP leak.

It was the leak of may last year which "outed" undercover agents that had infiltrated Al-Qaida.

And it was serious, because if the Whitehouse hadn't convinced the AP to sit on the story for a few days, there would have been undercover agents beheaded across the middle-east.

As it stands...what was lost was several years of work infiltrating Al-Qaida and the opportunity to foil future plots.

This was the last "product" of the operation before the leak brought it all down.

The FBI pulling these phone records via warrant...from the phone company/NOT AP ...is legit. They have a leak that had and has deadly potential in the CIA. They aren't going after AP, they are going after the CIA Leaker. Reporting secret material is not illegal...leaking secret material is.

i'm not blind, nor naïve...but I do other research and analyze each side, and also the grey areas, with the provided information I can obtain....and a lot of what happens overseas in hotspots will never be divulged publicly, nor should it be, because people get killed for it....... we have problems with the banking system, government work on getting good paying jobs for us, concerns over taxation, both individual and corporate, why our government is not telling us about the TEPCO nuclear disaster and the effects it has on the US?, where is the testing for seafood safety in the gulf of Mexico, how about our own nuclear storage plant safety around the country, are citizens a blowout away from disaster? how about Medicare fraud? etc..... there is a lot of crap going on that i'm worried about, and think should be investigated.

From what I could decipher of what you posted, I am assuming that you have pretty much the same fears as most of us whom are trying to make sense of our political system.....Am I right or wrong?

So why defend it? Why not base your beliefs on our Constitution and come hell or high water, regardless of what political party is involved..............why not defend the Constitution instead of two documented, corrupt political parties???

Nothing personal, but you are mightily confused. The FBI is investigating the CIA to find the leak surrounding the Al-Qaida undercover agents of last may. Thus the specific logs that were pulled surrounding that time and those reporters last year. The AP acknowledged the same....

Holder testified that he has faith in the individuals conducting the broad Associated Press investigation, driven in large part by GOP outrage last year over the possibility that administration officials leaked information to enhance President Barack Obama's national security reputation in an election year.

This is independant FBI investigators, at the urging of the GOP last year BTW, looking for the leak in the CIA. Holder recused himself from the investigation because he was one of the few "in the know" of the leaked material and in theorey that makes him a suspect as well. So he wasn't notified of the phone logs being supeoned from the telecom companies. All the reporting on this though is about the FBI investigating the CIA.

Now...I really hope that helps...though somehow I expect snark and rage in place of an actual response? Hope to be proven wrong though.

As I said earlier, right out of Holders mouth when asked the question, he blamed his deputy AG and NOT ONCE mentioned anything about the CIA........

why defend it?... because there are portions of government that works, and works well...if you have been in the saddle of life long enough, you know all it takes is a few bad apples to destroy, the majority of good deeds getting done. do I trust my government fully? of course not, with the hundreds of billions of dollars being spent each year, it's a lock that there is going to be corruption...and conspiracies?.....there's Watergate, Iran-contra, gulf of Tonkin, proven conspiracies from the highest levels of government...not to mention the dubious actions of 9/11, and the Kennedy assassination.
