Surely the USA has some special Anti Terrorist sqaud that trained in matters like this?

Technically the military is not allowed to become involved in this type of stuff on American soil. Unless marshal law is declared.

Nope we lost that when Posse Comitatus was changed . They may now be deployed in case of a terrorist attack.

I don't like it but that is a fact now.

Interesting, did not know that. Wonder why they aren't being called in then.

Even so. With this much officers, you can storm a medium sized town and subjugate everyone in it.

Military can be used under the circumstance the US is under attack. Terrorism, is considered an attack against the US. So the military could be used under the circumstance that a terrorist attack is imminent, underway, or has happened.

Don't be so naive. Your military responds to natural disasters, why wouldn't the be capable to respond to a man made disaster/attack.

The only reason I would think they wouldn't use them, is the fact they are not necessary. There are plenty of Law enforcement, civil service type groups that train specifically for these scenarios. The military isn't the only one capable of responding to such a situation, and in fact isn't necessarily the best option for this type of scenario.

I've heard on the news that 9.000 people (between police officers, federals, etc.) are after this guy. Is that true? Because, if it is, how can a guy escapes from all this people without being noticed?

Right!!

How is he (THEY) escaping past all this activity with this much going on??

So this "1 million+ people" Shelter in place order is like a mini Martial law, isn't it? Just a bit excessive for one 19 year old suspect in my opinion.

Why in case of a attack should all the countrys resources be avalible to be deployed and used to sort the mess out as quick and safely as possible rather than leave it to the local police who obvioulsy are out of there depth?

Definite way of throwing the authorities off track . . . send somebody else to another location with bank card or whatever, make a purchase and attract attention away from the fleeing suspect.

Logical thinking
