The Mars rovers should be credited as co-creators of Mars: Adrift on the Hourglass Sea, the latest series by artists Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick. Some of the photographs Curiosity has taken of the Martian surface were included in these compositions, depicting a strange, silvery future of human life on Mars.

Oh! That's that the pyramids were for! Focusing the chakra in an upward spiral which results in enlightenment, or at the very least, opening the inner eye.

My clothes horse looks like that everytime I try to unfold it.

Cool pics, but a bit sad in a way. When I was growing up, there were loads of martian (and lunar) outpost designs of what NASA actually believed would be in place by now. As much as I love maritan rovers, you can't help but feel there was an opportunity lost.

Indeed.

Very cool images too. It's strange how the music of Pink Floyd and outer space are just..........seamless somehow.

Sure, it's difficult to get dressed in the morning, but the radio reception is phenomenal!

What was the point of these pictures?

Concepts of lunar/interplanetary travel have been around for decades, much better planned and represented than these silly photos of people lost at Burning Man.

Here's a retro-future lunar base:

Oh no! Mars has been taken over by creepy zentai suit fetishists!

Seriously, those full body, faceless suits really creep me out.

Does anyone remember that guy that traveled to Mars using Tesla's technology in like 1969?

Heaps if videos on youtube but it's so weird that he mentions skulls being on the surface of mars (with pictures) that couldn't be seen from the surface so overhead craft would know it was the entrance.

I can see how you might feel that way. I think they are ethereal and thought provoking. If you can transcend the creep factor, they are kinda mind expanding.
