From the year 2000 to the year 2010, the census found that the number of Muslims living inside the United States increased from 1 million to 2.6 million – a stunning increase of 66.7 percent.

While it would be wrong to say that all Wahhbis are terrorists, it would be accurate to state that almost all Islamic terrorists are Wahhabi.

Well, this article clearly is exaggerating.. "Stunning increase"? 2.6 million out of 300+ million? That's basically, well, less than 1% of America. And seriously? 1 million to 2 million, over 10 years is stunning?

Well of course this is going to happen, the majority of religion followers in the US are Christian and it is an established religion with what one would expect a steady numbering not being grown due to a lack of Christian immigrants.

Islam on the other hand is a minority religion in the US with a smaller following so even if the influx of immigrants was of equal denominations between christian and muslims the percentage growth of muslims would be larger...

If it comes down to a European style "get them outta here" then yes, it would be violent. This is America, a heavily armed country with a lot of over zealous people.

I should however point out, some things that would throw those numbers off a bit. For example, half of the black population of Philly, probably would call themselves muslims, whether they are or not, as it is the "cool" thing to be in Philly. A good deal of American Muslims, are less inclined to the wahhabi ideology, which is a skewing, money making ideology, bent on whatever is most profitable.

Keeping all of us under the watchful eye, and counting us, and tying to understand our mind frames based on our religious title, is what is gonna lead to an ugly future.

A for the "halal foods" problem in your post; do most, if not all supermarkets, not carry kosher products? Are muslims not supposed to secure jobs? Should I just anticipate being fired because we aren't people and should remain poor?

Not all Christians will convert. Not all are expected to. That's not the point of Islam. Though the Saudi pimps make it seem that way, it's pretty clear cut to people who've spent years studying the Qur'an.

What people don't seem to grasp yet, is that the "infidel" (only using that term because it seems to be an ATS favorite) was only the atheist, and the idol worshipper. Islam never had a gripe with Christians, or Jews.

Somethings i seen as fact in my everyday life;

-Muslim family tend to have higher child birth per family.

-People who are tired of Christianity switch to Islam, another abrahamic religion.

-30% of my grocery shops are filled with "Halal" products, (industries catering to muslims)


Things i heard from a fellow muslim classmate;

-"We suppose to have mosque at every intersection"

-After a casual debate about religion(mostly involving conquering lands), i asked "why did they need to invade others? why couldnt they keep their own religion"(we were discussing about the past in the middle east). He said "how do you suppose to conquer then?.. I looked at one of my other classmate and the convo just ended there.

Note* he was not a muslim that grew up in a muslim country and just came over, he was born and raised here.

Well I don't understand this at all. I study all theology and every scrap of ancient and modern philosophy I can get my hands on...(an attempt to understand the motivations of the human condition) and I don't get these retro-active throw backs to an age of darkness and ignorance.

Please don't misunderstand me. I believe people need to believe in whatever they need to. If it makes them kinder and more compassionate toward their fellow man...then...by all means....believe away. I just don't share that. I DO believe in a Universal mind, but I don't think it is something that a group of mortal humans can describe, comprehend and speak for...but that is just my opinion. I hope one day we will realize that somewhere within the texts of ALL theology....lies the truth. There is truth in Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism. They all have ancient wisdom wrapped up in their texts....it is NOT WRONG to contemplate them all...and maybe...in there somewhere...lies the real truth....
