This is brilliant!

An anti-bullying campaign that is actually anti-christian, funded by the White House!

Oh lordy! The irony!

Lemme guess. The next step is to equate bullying with wealth. So we can have anti-christian, anti-wealth all tied in!

_______________________________________________________________________

Instead of accentuating the differences, why not focus on the things we all have in common? This anti-bullying campaign is focusing on negativity, differences, isolating one portion of the population against the other.

Oh well, you haters gotta hate!

Beezer, you are usually smarter than this. The actual group fights against bullying based on someones sexual persuasion - I seriously hope you don't think that is a bad thing - if you do, then my estimation of you has just dropped a lot. Should the whitehouse be against someone being bullied because of their sexual persuasion? Yes, absolutely.

Has someone within that group acted like an idiot recently? Yes. That doesn't mean that the objectives of the group are null and void.

This really is just shill work going off here to make an obvious issue about ones persons behaviour meaning the whole concept is not correct.

Thank you very much for this. I knew it was part of a concerted effort and agenda. This is why I defended the right of the students to walk out of an anti-Christian tirade. It is all part of the plan to destroy Christianity and the Family from within by Marxists and by sympathizers of communism, and those who hate God with a vengeance.

They will fail miserably.

They already have. Dan Savage is in full damage control mode right now.

His rant is indefensible.

I'm really really tired of hearing Christians complain about how persecuted and singled out they are. Get it through your thick stupid skulls, you are a stupid, backwards culture which needs to be systematically removed from the earth

Well, now isn't that all kind and loving. Christians have been persecuted since the Romans beheaded John the Baptist. The Bolsheviks made it a point to murder and imprison Christians. Marx and Lenin hated Christians and all religion. That is the company you are keeping.
Humanism is a religion too, by their own declaration, but they decided to change their religious status due to the fact that they were challenged in the Supreme Court of Law over separation of Church and State.

I agree with both of these points. I also agree that in some regions of this country, the Xtian teenagers are complete *ssholes and are lucky that no one's decided to "do something" about them and the damage they cause to the lives of those who haven't turned their lives over to the cross-hung corpse that they worship.

About the ... "It Gets Better Project"

The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach – if they can just get through their teen years. The It Gets Better Project wants to remind teenagers in the LGBT community that they are not alone — and it WILL get better.

And, I really agree with the "Justice Scalia is a ***!!!" sentiment. That should be printed on license plates.

In December 2010, Dan Savage did an interview with Newsweek magazine along with “Glee” star Jane Lynch. In that interview, in which Savage spoke for the It Gets Better Project endorsed by President Obama and members of his administration, Savage did double duty. First, he used his favorite four-letter expletive with regard to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who opposed the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Then he had some particularly nasty words for Justice Antonin Scalia.
Savage: Justice Scalia Is A **!!

What are you people going to do with your hatred when Obama gets elected to a 2nd term? Start a holy war?

"Xtian", what is that? Do you have a problem with someone named Chris? If your issue is with Christianity wouldn't you call that "Xian"? Or are you forgetting about logic and just adopting a term because it's trendy? How would you like to be sheared?

You're making a thread exposing the "evils" of DAN SAVAGE?!?!? LOLOLOL

Oh my god I need a minute *collapses in hysterics* I don't even need to read past the OP. (And I ALWAYS read the entire thread. Not this time.)

Dan Savage became a hero when he helped create a new definition for "Santorum". And frankly, I'm tired of Christians acting like they're being somehow persecuted. Suck it up. Let's ask a group of people who is actually being persecuted...like homosexuals how they feel about it.

If being against using religion to keep a segment of society down makes you ANTI christian please sign me up for that movement.

The video shows Savage discussing where Christians ignore some parts of the bible (parts that concern sin they commit or ignore for themselves) and then get hung up on the sexual parts (where it concens others) - So, if you look back at the video you'll find Mr. Savage is speaking the truth.

Just like Dan Savage, many bullies use the truth as weapon. Do you really feel that using the truth excuses the act of bullying?

i would probably be shocked at what some of you good folks do... (really you do that with your thingy, gross)

It seems you have a rather kinky imagination.... GROSS!

Queers on the other hand are just queer, and they don't do anything to harm humanity by being queer because unless you knew somehow you wouldn't even know who is queer and who isn't.

That statement seems to deny that "gay" individuals have the capacity to be bullies. I disagree! Dan Savage certainly demonstrates the opposite of that statement.

The rest of your post is just you speaking against religion from your bully pulpit, and that seems quite hypocritical of you.

See ya,
Milt

Christians today have nothing to do with what happened in past centuries. The Crusades were about taking back lands which were concquered by the Moors in their invasion. The Inquisition actually had to do with that issue as well. Blaming today's Christians for what the Church did yesterday is like making people today pay reparations through taxation for what other people did 200 years ago. "Social Justice" is an agenda brought about by Marxists who believe in income redistritibution, abolition of private property, and the abolition of the nuclear family to be replaced by the Supreme State.
I read in horror last night a post made by someone claiming Hillary's famous statement, "It takes a village to raise a child". No it doesn't take a village, it takes the child's parents. It's that simple.

The students have the right to walk out but don't cry attack on Christians when they are unable to defend their faith. You may want to open a bible and read for once because Jesus was closer to being a commie than a capitalist.

Really, suck it up you say?

Tell that to the 100,000 Christians killed in 2012

Global Persecution of Christians

It is not generally appreciated that over 100,000 Christians a year are murdered because of their faith.

Can you imagine if 100,000 gays were killed this year?

Perhaps the gravest under-publicized atrocity in the world is the persecution of Christians. A comprehensive Pew Forum study last year found that Christians are persecuted in 131 countries containing 70 percent of the world’s population, out of 197 countries in the world (if Palestine, Taiwan, South Sudan, and the Vatican are included). Best estimates are that about 200 million Christians are in communities where they are persecuted.

200 million Christians are in communities where they are persecuted.

Obviously many people on this forum don't care if Christian are persecuted and killed, I would dare say some like the idea.
www.nationalreview.com...

Really, no one has compassion for these individuals and their rights?

We cry attack when a 47 year old man is too much of a coward to give the exact same

speech to a room full of 47 year old adults. Ambushing Christian teenagers is disgraceful.

Dan Savage needs to pick on someone his own age.

Dr. Phil would have sent Dan Savage running for the exit.

That of course is classic teaching, and notice at the end, Jesus says to go and sin no more. It is not an excuse to do anything one wishes. Learn the whole lesson and not just that part which is comfy.

Third eye is well versed in the bible we know what it says, I have no animosity against gays what so ever, but apparently people on this forum find it ok for christian conservative to be dragged to their death, via Dan Savage.

and neither care about the hundreds of thousands of Christian that are murdered because of their faith annually.

They have been picking on innocent children in classrooms for a whle now. Have you seen videos of some of the classroom teaching going on? It is nothing short of indoctrination. Taking advantage of the innocense of the child is one of the most despicable things imaginable.

I don't know about that... Considering the remarks he has made about numerous other individuals, I get the idea that Dan Savage hates everyone that disagrees with him.

Am I reading this right?

Dan Savage is a 47 year old man attacking Christian teenagers because Christians

are against gay marriage.

What would Dr. Phil had done if he was sitting in the front row at the time of the

Dan Savage speech?

He would have launched out of his chair and protected the teenagers from this obvious

bully. Dan Savage would have run for the exit when confronted by an adult.

He was neither attacking or bullying students. So pointing out parts of the bible is being a bully? If these people can't face the word in the bible then why are they Christians?

So why is it corruption for the Obama to support this guy?

Or should all donations go only to Christians and Christians based charities?

I think this just more hyperbole bs.

How dare the White House support anybody who isn't Christians.... yadda yadda yadda.

This is a common statement by people who want to justify communism and socialism. I am familiar with the term "Christian Socialism" and it is unfounded in terms of scripture. Charity and forced income redistribution as social justice are two different things. Learn the difference.
Paul spoke to the Corinthians demonstrating that while we may be our brother's keeper, it is nevertheless still everyone's individual responsibility to provide for their own means. The teachings of Christ do not include forcing society to become a Totalitarian State of Utopian redistribution schemes. That is all an invention of the 19th century and beyond.

That's what I'm wondering!
From what I see, he's standing up to those who use the bible and their In the name of God bullying against homosexuals, by explaining how there are many things which are in the bible which are no longer relevant today, such as stoning wives. So, just because the bible says to hate homosexuals (which for many warrants their bullying) doesn't mean he was degrading Christianity!

How is that bullying? I'm so confused. Are Christians really that sensitive that one can't even use simple logic to explain why bullying in the name of religion should no longer be an OK practice???
