Alleged Nuclear Test Site Said to House Missile Launch Facilities
SEOUL, Sept. 12 (Yonhap) -- North Korea's Kimhyongjik County, reported as the site of the North's alleged test explosion of a nuclear weapon, is a mountainous area bordering China. Located in the North's northernmost inland province of Yanggang, the area lies next to China's Jian City in the northern Chinese province of Jilian, where millions of ethnic Koreans reside.

90% porbabilities there was a pre-emptive attack on Taepodong Missile Base., less than 10% it was an accident. So the question is :
who did it ? China, S.Korea/US/Japan or Russia ?

On what are you basing the statement that it is a preemptive strike?
How do you know they did not have an accident or something?

If it was a strike, All three of the Big Three would have to know about it and be in on it, Russia, US , and China.

When was the last time that such a type of accident happened ? Never before.

If it wasn't a preemptive strike then there would be no need for a cover-up to go to these lengths.

And yes, this is the ONE and ONLY case where Russia, US , and China would agree.

If it were an attack on N.Korea, don't you think their leader would have gone ape !*!# by now, thereby letting the world know it was an attack?

does anyone think isreal could have been involved? by heating up the NK/US cold war all eyes would be away from middle east whilst they took out Iran's nuke plants....

Ever think that if it was near a missle base, then maybe it was NK's missles blowing up?

I think that this could have been a staged accident....either a deep cover op or an outright covert op that caused a catostrophic "accident" to occur.

its common knowledge that a fully loaded shuttle or the soviets heavy lifter, that exploded on the pad, would be like a small nuke going off.

Rockets fuel is very volitile and one mistake could quickly go BOOOM!

Also think about the fact that while N.korea might be able to scrape together a nuke, and or a missile to carry it...they are being frugal with the $$$ to develope such weapons...im sure the safety budget is the first part of the budget to get slashed. A true accident/lack of proper safety could also create a whoops...BOOM situation.

I feel that since the N.korean gov has not come out in public yelling about it, it leans MORE tword an accident that they dont want to admit to, because it probably just set their programs back 3-5 years.

Its hard to rattle your sabre' when you just snapped it in two.

Funny because its true.

I agree the lack of any info comming of of N Korea leads me to believe it was a accident. It will most likey be covered up in a hush hush fashion as was the communist way.

If N Korea was attacked Kim Jong-il would be yelling so loud the whole world would hear.

It was N Koreas doing any way you look at it....first off...they mentioned the possibility of testing a nuke soon...so odds are its related to that in some way...but it could also be an accident...but in no way did it involve China, Russia or the US...not possible...there would be some kind of huge uproar by now if it did...

Im now hearing that the official word out of N.Korea is that this was blasting for a new dam. Ok SURE it was....

I think its more likley that their test site just accidently went BOOM and resulted in the creation of a "new dam" as they inadvertantly collapsed a mountain into the valley.

Time will tell

I love how people automatically assume that the US was involved....

Recall, if you will, that when the Brazilian Space Port was destroyed in the explosion earlier this year, it was described as similar to a nuclear blast.
