Thank you OP. I do have the start of tears after watching that. I've heard the speech in other videos. The imagery in this one.....it makes all the difference, right to the end. Thank you SO much for sharing this with us all. I truly believe if we can just get through the coming few years alive....much better times are ahead for humanity.

And I always thought Hitler was a bad guy, this must of been in his younger years, before he became hardened to the fact things were not going his way.

God bless each and everyone.

When the utter disgrace of youtube blends with cinematic genious. Bravo, Charles Chaplin

Did the words in this video really come from a Chaplin film made decades ago? Wow. Just to show you the more things change the more they stay the same. Humanity still fails on many fronts to be humane. We all know as human beings we a capable of great good, and indeed there is a lot of good and wonder in this tired world, but man also chooses still to wage wars both massive and minor in the pursuit of what? I've always been amazed by the fact one despot can take his people to war, but we, as one person feel we cannot do anything to change the world for the better. It's so true that all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

Peace.

The Great Dictator is a comedy film directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. First released in October 1940, it was Chaplin’s first true talking picture, and more importantly was the only major film of its period to bitterly satirize Nazism and Adolf Hitler. In the film Chaplin plays two characters who look strikingly similar- a jewish barber and a dictator who looks like Adolf Hitler. Near the end of the film, after a series of far-flung mishaps, the dictator gets replaced by his look-alike, the barber, and is taken to the capital where he is asked to give a speech.

Sounds like V from V for Vendetta hehe
Maybe thats why when the speaker gets louder and louder all I can picture is an army of the people marching against the oppressors.

Amazing. I was getting chills all over. I sent it to a few of my friends and I'm going to send it to my brother now. Some people don't get what I mean when I say I feel somethings wrong in the world. Recently I've been wraping my head around the idea of Capitalism. I'm not for socialism or anything near a socialist but I'm seeing how money strips humans of being human. Thank you OP for this video.

Yes the movie is brilliant and portrayed the real message of humanity, don't let these mongrels have any more power over the people. Spread the word of peace and love, we are all one.

So we have a lot of messiahs around giving out/approving messages to all of humanity?
Why not you sort your problems and let others sort theirs?
