As this is from stereo ahead. I'm not sure this is from that X-flare. The region is on the other side of the sun.
But i could be wrong.
Someone?

It kind of matches if you look at it as it shooting out and behind if that makes sense. But B doesn't correspond really.

Just got this update

Initially it appeared as if a large CME observed late in the day was associated with the X1 event. However, the source of that CME was backsided.

This X2 is not earth directed so it will offer little in terms of Aurora stimulation. Sun Spot AR1339 is massive though and already making the earth facing turn. The next couple days might bring in some good sights and much better odds of X class flares. I wonder if I'll live to see the next Carrington event.... Pull out those telescopes!

funniest thing lol....

I'm over at the C3 theater

and ran the dates as 20111112 20111112 .
at 4:18 I get an immense flash effect - like I'm seeing a bright flash reflection??

at 16:30 I get the beginning of a flare... then the next frame at 16:42 the flare is gone?? only to continue erupting at 19:18 onward?

skippy?
