Three-Eyed Fish Caught Near Nuclear Power Plant

Has real life imitated fiction? It seems that Blinky, the three-eyed goldfish from The Simpsons may not be such a far-fetched idea, following a recent discovery in Argentina!

A group of fishermen on a reservoir in the Córdoba province of Argentina landed something a little bit different. The fish they caught had an extra eye.

The reservoir where the three-eyed wolffish was reeled in has hot water from a nearby nuclear facility pumped into it, prompting concern among locals.

One of the fishermen, Julián Zmutt told infobae.com: "We were fishing and we got the surprise of getting this rare specimen. As it was dark at that time we did not notice, but then you looked at him with a flashlight and saw that he had a third eye."

I saw this story and thought it was interesting, so I decided to share it with all of you.

I understand genetic mutations happen and sometimes it is just nature being nature, but, is it just a coincidence that this is happening near a nuclear reactor?

It is funny that 'Blinky' is so well known and now we have a real specimen just like him in real life.

Life imitating art or art imitating life?

Any thoughts?

Pred...

I would say it is most likely because of the nearby nuclear plant! I don't think those guys should fish there anymore! Just sayin!

I would of thought with that extra eye looking up
he could have eluded capture and seen the Fisherman.
But mother nature is cruel, she gave me everything I need to succeed
but not the brains to use it.

That fish does not look healthy

Could it actually see out of any of its eyes? they all looked stuffed.

Does anyone know what type of fish it was? can someone post a pic of what a healthy fish of that species looks like

Cheers
