Hmmm I dunno, last I read somewhere, The "DOT" was the ulitmate. The start, the end, and all in between which really has no start or end.

The shape for 8d is… are you ready for it… a point! A singular, imaginary point of nothingness which contains everything. It is a point in which depth, width and height have no meaning. 8d is the same as 0d because 8d IS 0d

I posted this LINK way back in this thread, describing dimensions. I think it was Fram, but I may be wrong that was quite taken with it.

I am happy a couple of you enjoyed the video.

Now after reading a couple more pages, I am very glad this is all presented in a post. I could just imagine this conversation in real life. Would probably sound like a TV reality show, (Jerry Springer comes to mind), where everyone is speaking and no one is listening to the others. Funny it has kind of come down to semantics of each point of thought.

For one so concerned about the decline of this thread into chitchat and not about what was the main topic, they seem to have succumbed themselves into the exact thing they had abhorred to begin with. Go figure.

Can we perhaps put our hands back in our pockets and quit pointing fingers, and start using our minds in a perhaps more efficient way or positive manner, even if it does just remain chitchat?

Should I be concerned I am sitting here on my thrown in my sweats????

It is like this thread decided to mirror the page title on the main page change: "Searching in the dark".

I wonder if Open changes the title again and gets us "out of the dark" into the "open" if every one will cheer up.

Open isn't deciding if you are in the dark or not, that is up to the individual

Yes, it is, but the dot has no form at all; it is the formless void. Form = Thought = Neoma = Atoms = everything you see all around you in this 3D, everything solid came from a thought. This is what the Shroedinger's Cat experiment is saying. Forget the observer, the cat doesn't exist without a thought. You don't either. None of us do.

The dot is the ultimate and it is LOVE and peace and stillness and all of that............... but it's not THIS. This thing. This thought. This creation -- with all its beauty AND its ugliness.

I completely forgot about posting those earlier (as far as I know, they have not been posted in this thread), but here's a couple links you may want to check out.

It's a 3-part series from the BBC which, even though it remains somewhat basic and simple, at least has the merit to give a reasonable and comprehensible approach as to embracing an outlook on our environment/culture/history.
It might not be fun for the math skilled, but it's worth the watching, though, if only for further digging.

Damn. Sorry for the repost, then. Oops

Yeah, it's a good one. A little biased at times, and over simplistic some other times, but it still gives a pretty good idea what one can actually search further.

Those are very long videos. Will it make me more depressed, or less depressed? Because I'm in a bit of a funk today. I do not take well to the idea that life has no meaning beyond simply life. I prefer meaning.

Would reading this be better use of my time?

Ooooh! Yea that one article is great, right?

But then, no, no sweat, those videos —although an hour long— won't make you depressed or what. It's quite entertaining actually and easily digested. It's all good.

Now the question could be here, Is this related to Opens page, or our thread?

A student at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair, April 26. He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become to alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment. In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for plenty of good reasons, since:
it can cause excessive sweating and vomiting
it is a major component in acid rain
it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
accidental inhalation can kill you
it contributes to erosion
it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients

He asked 50 people if they supported a ban of the chemical.
Forty-three (43) said yes,
six (6) were undecided,
and only one (1) knew that the chemical was water.

The title of his prize winning project was, "How Gullible Are We?" He feels the conclusion is obvious.

Didint mean to post the whole thing, but it wouldnt have made sense otherwise!

Just curious. How do YOU know what Open is deciding? How do any of us know?Unless you are Open?

Just making a point that you don't need to rely on another person to put you into or take you out of the dark.

Seeing as we have no guidance, maybe we go back to the manuals?

Or is there something we overlooked?
