Guess I read that differently, could the same not be applied to corporations? My point is it is not all the gov's fault, WallSt/bankers have done damage as well.

view it however you want there is nothing and noone in this country that can escape the control government with the exception of the rich and or wall street if you got enough money you can go anwhere.

the government writes and enforces the laws that effect everything and everyone here and while people "Blame corporations and wallstreet" they cant not do anything without the nodd of government.

but if you want to look at it another way consider this:

the idea of government was to limit the power of people and business and while people argue which has more power (the splitting hairs part) the only thing anyone even myself will agree is that the people suffer.

thats the real deal those policies that are design to help "people" are the same policies "destroying" them.

help people but destroy business in the process is cutting our own throats.

it is futile for what either of us think or say will ever change what is.
so its up to you to decide.

There is a simple solution to this whole financial problem:
End the Fed and
Withdraw from war.
When you are closing in on $12 trillion in debt, it is time you hold yourself accountable to your people. It is evident that there has been a continuation of budget deficits under Obama inherited from the Bush administration. They both are to blame. Clinton ran a budget surplus and when economic conditions were postive somehow the Bush administration and there mental incapacity managed to run a deficit. The Obama inherited this deficit and during and after the GFC he pursued a stupid economic policy providing billions in bailouts to underseving corporations and he approved the largest defence budget ever. However, the worst offender is the Federal Reserve. Now America's financial mismanagment is threatening to blow back on the rest of the world. Many American unfortunately do not care what happens outside of their country, however if you don't solve this problem this won't only affect you, but it will also cause a depression around the world spreading into China and India which will launch South East Asia and Oceana into depression too.

Wrong. The Federal Reserve is a privately owned financial institution and has been described as such by the courts. The court ruled that the Federal Reserve Banks are "independent, privately owned and locally controlled corporations", and went to say something about not being involved in day to say operations to such an extent that it could not be considered a Federal Agency.

That case was Lewis v. United States 1982

Solution:

Tax all the interest earned by the federal reserve as income. Tax every dollar over $100M earned each year at 100% retroactive back to 1913 with compound interest penalties. I think $100M per year is a fair income for managing the account called the United States.

I think you guys are still suffering from the 2008 crash. All of those people that made billions are still involved in some of your biggest institutions, your universities and still paid 'consultant' fees from the major banks.
They baffle the average-joe with bull5hit so much you give up and keep doing what your doing, they count on that.

If someone can post this full vid or you can find it, it is definitely worth the watch, the situation is not going to get better imo.

www.sonyclassics.com...

You'd be better off trying to retrieve this money from the crooks who took it, including your government which always says yes to these people, since Reagan, and still are...

It's a terrible situation, really terrible.

Government is completely bought and paid for by Wall Street and the corporations, both Democrats and Republicans alike.

None of that lot are your friends or mine, and they couldn't possibly care less about the people of this country. So far as they are concerned, the nation starts and stops with them. The rest of us are just employees that can be terminated at will.

Worship them all you like, but expect nothing from them, for to them you are utterly inconsequential until and unless you somehow manage to acquire enough money to make you a worthwhile target for personal attention due to being lucrative to fleece or a threat.

No matter what, though, you will never be accepted into their company, save as a servant.

Personally, I consider the bailouts high treason.

Everyone involved in promoting, passing and accepting them on the board level and in government should be stripped of citizenship, passports, all property and wealth, be officially declared persona non grata and physically ejected from our borders within 24 hours.

Foreign citizens who were involved should suffer the same fate: seizure of US-based assets and put on a no-entry/no-business list.

Hanging, shooting or otherwise creatively terminating them is tempting, but far too easy on them.

Better they should suffer the fate of the Russian aristocracy: a slow, twisting, contemptuously poor existence telling each other how unfair it all was in between wiping tables for a crust of bread.

Agreed, so when you start lashing out at 'fascist' democrats and 'tard' liberals or stupid progressives, could you please specify the leaders and policies, because otherwise, some that consider themselves left leaning fall under your critique, and I don't like being called names or being held responsible for actions that are out of my control. And don't say voting makes a difference, because on a national level, it doesn't anymore. There are a lot of good people in the world that are both left and right leaning, and to broad sweep them under the decisions made by the leaders is not cool. It's like saying anyone that watches Fox news is an idiot. Just because Fox news behaves like an idiot at times, does not mean their viewers are ALL idiots. So just because some democratic leaders/policymakers behave badly, it is unfair to condemn the people who are suffering and just as frustrated as anyone else.
There is good and bad in both dem and repub, and a lot of us on both sides are clinging to the positive aspects of one or the other and trying to detach ourselves from the negative aspects.

Peace and unity to the people

i honestly dont know how any real left leaning person can or would even identify themselves as a liberal or democrat when the party is nothing close to being what it should be.

dont take offense man what i say doesnt matter how i view them the only thing that counts is how you view yourself.

Bernanke lied before Congress when Ron Paul asked him if the Fed makes loans to foreign nations. He looked around for permission, and then said "no we do not". How does this man evade capture?

Also, where is Hank Paulson? Dude looked like Mr. Peanut escaping with all the salt. Is he now lounging on some island somewhere? Chris Story said Hank Paulson was dead, well I guess he may as well be, who cares anyway right? It's like a car that's 90% rust and 10% metal.

Well for me, I do value SOME gov programs for the poor, disabled and elderly, while at the same time realizing it is abused and force-fed. And yes, the movement is out of control and has not the people's interest first anymore. I see liberal as wanting fairness and equality, and I see progressive as change, when needed. But I agree, the movements have been shanghaied by special interests and money AND crazy psychotic people, that misrepresent most of the aspects of left leaning. I also value conservatism angles, less gov, personal responsibility and les taxes, but as you mentioned, the 2 represent a father mother type, and neither one is 100% correct. We need aspects of both for balance, and that is why I get frustrated when some attack one as exclusively responsible for everything wrong, it's not that simple to me.
At times I wsh the states and people could handle everything or more, themselves, but to date, it hasn't happened. So their has to be somedegree of assistance. But balance is the key, and, unfortunately
the love of money keeps standing in the way, imo.

But hey, I have enjoyed the dialogue, and hopefully someone may learn something from these type of threads, as much as they get frustrated too.

Won't you help me wish that notion the best of luck?

So where are any arguments as to the facts of the findings of the commission? That essentially 16 trillion was paid out from taxpayers money to corporations, not any of them owned by the Federal Government, and a lot even being foreign corporations?
Is this why you and I have to pay taxes in the home of the brave? To fund fallen capitalist superempires - even abroad?
That is not only misguided, it is perhaps verging on the criminal.
